WIRELINE AND PERFORATING SERVICES Caliper Tool (CT) Reliable Borehole Imaging, Evaluation and Analysis The Caliper Tool (CT) from Halliburton provides means to accurately assess borehole condition for a number of applications, from borehole breakout analysis to log quality evaluation. The tool comprises six highly-sensitive and fully independent caliper arms capable of recording high resolution borehole data with accuracy and repeatability to within 0.1 inch. Revealing details of borehole dimensions, defects, washouts and condition, the CT provides highly accurate characterization of borehole size and shape, making it an excellent tool for analyzing the near wellbore stress field. With a current product offering that includes Borehole Breakout Analysis, Borehole Annular Volume, and Borehole Image, the Caliper Tool also provides an important assessment capability for evaluating log quality.
