School Policy• In 2010 General Session of Utah
Legislature, Rep Ronda Menlove sponsored HB 88 which states:– Local boards of education shall adopt rules
that prohibit the illicit use, possession or distribution of an e-cigarette at school
– The GYC will also be presenting this info at a future school board meeting for consideration
What can you do?
• Stay informed!• If you see an e-cigarette, report it the
same way you would for traditional cigarettes! (counselor, principal, school resource officer, etc.)
• Talk to your school board about current school policy!
