Microblogging is a subcategory of blogging characterized by short posts or messages.Microblogging is a web service that allows the subscriber to broadcast short messages to other subscribers of the service.

There are both advantages and disadvantages to microblogging and I think it is useful for all of you to know both the good and the bad.

Advantages of Microblogging Updates can be visible to community members. Many people do not read newspapers but would rather look at short posts to find out what is happening in their neighborhood. From theatres to concerts, one of the biggest ways of attracting a large audience is through microblogging programs. One that is most used programs is Facebook, it has united many people from around the world, childhood friends and distant family members are able to find them on it.Broadcasts can be made to a large audience Less time consuming than blog posts as blog posts are very long.

During my research I found that some people find Gwibber extremely useful whilst others find it is still underdeveloped.
