Activities Ministry, Lindsay GrahamMINI-MITES BASKETBALL TIP-OFF DECEMBER 3

The Basketball Tip-off for Mini-Mites (K5-K6-1st grade) is Saturday, December 3, at 1:40pm in the Gym. Players will meet their coaches, receive their uniforms, and pose for team photos. Call Donna Roper (672.0372) for details.

Children’s Ministry“MY VERY OWN BOOK!” DECEMBER 4

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to allow your child to participate in an awesome giving experience this Christmas Season! Our FPC children will give all students at Hollis Academy their “very own books” to take home for Christmas. On Sunday morning, December 4, our children can buy one or more books with their own money for $1 each, and wrap the book(s) with their families. Donations will be accepted. Remember to bring $1 and look for book wrapping stations near the check-in kiosks. If you have questions, call Heather Ware (905.7753) or Christy Glenn (908.5699).

ANGEL TREE GIFTS FOR HOLLIS CHILDRENThe Children’s Ministry Angel Tree will be in the Loggia on Sunday, November, 27. The angels represent children and siblings from Hollis Academy. Please select an angel from the tree, purchase and wrap the gifts for the child, and return the gifts to the church no later than December 13. Questions? Educational Ministries, Tim LeslieCONFIRMATION CLASS FOR GRADES 6 - 8

Beginning January 4 during Wednesday Advantage (5:30–6:15pm), students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to attend Confi rmation Class in order to confi rm their baptism. This class helps the student to consider the claims of Christ Jesus and the Christian Church, the truths of the Gospel, and the call to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The class will conclude on March 21 and students may come before the Session as early as Sunday, March 25, to join as active members of FPC. Evangelism and Missions, Brian StewartALASKA MISSIONARIES VISIT DECEMBER 4

Stephen and Natalie Hall, FPC members and missionaries with Send North in Alaska, will speak on Sunday, December 4, in Harper Chapel during the 9:40 and 11:00am Sunday School hours. Plan to join them for an update on God’s work in the far north.

MEDICAL MISSIONS LUNCHEON DECEMBER 11Medical and dental professionals, their families, and all others who are interested: You’re invited to a luncheon on Sunday, December 11, 12:15–1:30pm in Fellowship Hall, to hear about opportunities for short-term medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic. SHARE THE WARMTH!Russell Memorial Presbyterian Church is collecting new or gently used blankets, coats, and warm clothes through November for the Latino Ministry Health Fair for the community early in December. Especially needed are coats and sweaters for children. Donations may be taken to Russell (31 Calhoun Avenue) or dropped off inside the FPC offi ce. Wreaths Across America (WreathsAcrossAmer-ica.org) coordinates the sponsorship and laying of wreaths on veterans’ graves in many national, state, and local cemeteries in December each year. If you would like to help lay wreaths during the ceremony at the M. The next meeting of the Elderberries is Tuesday, December 6, at 11:30am in Fellowship Hall. Speaker Ken Bagwell’s topic will be “The Star of Bethlehem: Science? The Feed My Starving Children organization has reported that the Grains of Grace meals we packed were shipped in mid-October.

Djibouti received 108 boxes – 23,328 meals.Nicaragua received 864 boxes – 186,624 meals. Your generosity makes a tremendous difference
