NEW STEPHEN MINISTER TRAINING BEGINSA new 20-session Stephen Minister Training Class will begin Wednesday, October 5. Upon completion of training, members are commissioned to join our 26 active Stephen Ministers in providing one-to-one care to individuals experiencing difficulties in life. A LOOK AT ISLAM WITH THE BIBLE IN MINDBoth Islam and Christianity claim to teach the truth about ultimate reality. Teacher Bob McCallum will lead an introductory look at Islam from the perspective of the Bible and the Christian Faith using the text The Truth about Islam, by Anees Zaka and Diane Coleman. HOLLIS NIGHT AT ZAXBY’S SEPTEMBER 13Hollis Academy will be having a fundraising night at Zaxby’s (1220 Woodruff Road) on Tuesday, September 13, 5:00–8:00pm. Ten percent of sales during that time will be donated directly to the school. This is a great way for our congregation to support our school adoption program. Marriage and Family Ministry, Bob JonesMAKING THE MOST OF WHAT GOD GIVES ME
“Making the Most of What God Gives Me” is a six-week video series offered by the Empty Nest and Grandparenting Subcommittees of the Marriage and Family Ministry. Register now for this one-day conference on prayer to be led by Rev. John Rice on Saturday, September 24. Rev.
