Average Hours/Week: 40+ Reports to: Lead Pastor Date Revised: 02.06.2019 Position Summary: The Worship & Creative Arts Pastor will passionately lead our weekend experiences at Gulf Coast. This person’s primary responsibility is to work in tandem with the Lead Pastor to lead excellent worship by engaging people and connecting them to Jesus through music, production, and execution of live creative elements during our adult weekend services and large adult events. This individual will ensure all campus-related events and processes are dialed in and executed on and off campus with the highest degree of excellence and focus on our target audience. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Lead Our Worship Service(s): • Strategically plan, execute, and evaluate the weekend worship service(s). • Engage our target audience by leading the worship experience well from the stage. • Create and oversee the production of stage and digital content (graphic art, videos, motions, stills) that enhance our

worship experiences. Lead our Teams: • Recruit, train, develop, and care for volunteer musicians, vocalists, and production teams (audio, video, lighting,

staging) through excellent planning. • Lead and foster a healthy, creative volunteer culture to execute the weekend service. • Provide leadership by directing auditions, weekly rehearsals, and coaching our volunteer musicians, vocalists, and

production team pre, mid, and post experience. Lead Yourself: • Commitment to a healthy biblical lifestyle and personal spiritual growth. • Commitment to personal excellence in worship leadership, musicianship, and communication.

Specific Areas of Responsibility: • Manage weekly worship services. • Lead weekly rehearsals. • Oversee teams and special campus events and ceremonies that require the AVL support such as: outreach events,

weddings, funerals, retirements, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Character & Chemistry: • Personal integrity in all areas of life • Passion for reaching the lost • Proficient and excellent musician and vocalist • Critical eye for production excellence

weaknesses. Education & Experience:

• High School diploma/equivalent (college education preferred) • Proven ministry and leadership experience • Minimum 2 years of worship leadership experience • Proficiency in Apple, Planning Center, and ProPresenter preferred, but teachable • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
