Patel, Regional Officer, Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Navsari andRepresentative of Member Secretary, Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Gandhinagar hasobtained oral permission to start proceeding of public hearing from the chairman of thecommittee. Regional Officer, Gujarat Pollution Control board has welcomed all those whoare remaining present. He has briefed the various provisions ofElANotification-2006 andthe process of public hearing. He has informed about its wide publicity of Public Hearingnotice which was published in local newspaper i.e. "Divya Bhaskar" and "GujaratSamachai' Gujarati Daily and "The Times of lndia" English Daily on 1 1/08/2019.Further, hestated that as per the provision of the notification, only local affected people can presenttheir suggestions/views/comments/questions orally and other interested people can maketheir suggestionsicomments/questions in writing which will be considered as a part ofprocedure of the Public Hearing.

The Power Point presentation was made with regards to the existing and proposed pro.jectby representative of company's Environmental Consultant Mr.Jignesh Patel.

Regional Officer, GPCB, Navsari invited the local affected people for representation andsuggestions on the proposed project. He also added that person has to ask questions oneby one after giving their brief introduction.

don't know that whether theyare appropriate here or not.Those members are notincluded whose sugarcane isbeing purchased, andsugarcane of members arenot being purchased directly.

TheGovernment still not paidRs.62 Crore. Eventhough we are runningthe factory.Five cooperativemandalies companieshad invested the capitalof its members. Till datemembers of fivecompanies have notbeen benefited becausewe quote pricesaccording to the rule ofGovernment, afterdeducting the costcrushing of sugarcane

Sugarcane has beenpurchased through employeesand agents. lt has beenpurchased at Rs.1000- 1200and sold at Rs.3000 andsugarcane is being purchasedin cash at just Rs. 1200. Wehave also submitted proof ofthe same. No action has beentaken by the management ofthis company for the same.lssue of assets and membershas not been resolved. Wehave represented to the sameto the Government, so theGovernment shouldrejuvenate the SahakariMandli or we should beincluded as members. Wedon't want to be in themanagement or we don't wantany asset but not to make amember to those person whofinanced this company is notlaMul. Common Meeting wasconducted on our request toregistrar the Sahakari Mandli,in which 6000 memberstogether represented stronglythat the Valod SahakariKhand Udyog Mandli shouldbe rejuvenated. Proposal forthe same has been submittedto the Government by theDistrict Magistrate which ispending. ln spite of all thepending issues, thisexpansion is going to becarried out. The expansionshould not be carried out, tillthe solution of pending issues.This is not the issue of Valodonly, but of the sugarcane ofpoor farmers of the wholeTapi District .As no sugarfactory has been functioningin Tapi District, farmers arebeing manipulated. You arethe whole & sole of this

Out of all thequestions we have toclarify that we are notdoing any business.No business has beendone by any of theAdministrator or Officer,and we have resolvedthat we ask for copy ofmembership beforepurchasing sugarcanefrom the farmer. ln casethe farmer is farming ontenancy and if he don'thave membership proof,he should furnishagreement on Rs.20stamp paper. We don'tintend to exploit anybody.This factory has beentaken over with the goodmotive for welfare of localtribal farmers and we arerunning this factory forthe last 10-12 years.Even if we takeover thisestablishment & plant,no office-bearer claimany interest.We have even brought

Give the details of mode of disposal of huge amount of effluent (spent wash) to be generated after

biomethanation. What is the exact measures have been taken? At some places, pollution related issues

are generated due to outside disposal of the huge amount. Specially in monsoon the this question is

arised.

Huge amount of CO2 gas to be generated during manufacturing of ethanol from molassess process.

CO2is green house gas and very harmful to the environment. What precautionary measures will be

taken to handle it?The notice was given by GPCB during their visit mentioned that overflow of effluent in near by farm

was observed. Was any compentation given to the farmers for the damage of crop?

Was any complain received from the farmers regarding damage of crop due to your company? if so

give details ofthe compentations for the damage.

How many times closure or show cause notice are given to the operational plant for the violation ofenvironmental rules? If so give the details of status for the same.

ls there any Accidents and losses of lives in company? If so give the details for the same.

What kind of arrangement will be provided to avoid effluent runoffout side the premises in monsoon.

During this bank has illegally under securitization Actget hold ofpropeny of Mandali worth Rs. More than r 00 crores and sold to ;rganization i.e. copper Sugarformed by five sugar factories in Just Rs.27 crores, which was chalrengi uy ex-ctrairmari in oEttRecovcry Trubunal and all the procedure ofacquisition and selling undertaken by bank was declared illegal.Copper Co-opaative Sugar Limited is organization registered under Sahkari act. Five Sugar factories aremembers of this organization. ln year 2008, propertiof shree Valod predesh Sahakari Krr-a uoy.gMandli Limited was given to this organization ar very l,ow cost with the intension that the prop*i; ;;i;;kept with sahkari organization, operation based on Sahkari principre, crushing of sugarcane of Membenand to conserve interest of farmers. Condition is given to Membe$ reg. to conserye interest and to providemembership in copper Sugar and its associatea factories, but no riembership is given to tr," i.iginuimembers ofValod Predesh Sahkari Khand Udyog Mandli Limited.

Members of Valod Predesh Sahkari Khand Udyog Mandli Limited is not memben ofother sugar factories;they became members of valod Khand uanitiuy taking loan from ban-k. As the company i. .r*"a,farmers are not able to pay loan and are under inliuence Jf heavy debt. This details are covired in lanjdocuments (7/12) hence not firrther loan is given by any banlq and critical situation is arising.
