Guildhall Winchester, one of the largest venues in the

area proudly presents “Christmas with a Twist”.

Don’t be fooled by the stunning gothic exterior of this

landmark building, the interior boasts stunning

Victorian features with a contemporary twist.

If you’re looking for a large private event, small

intimate family celebration, or to join one of our

superb open party nights Guildhall Winchester has an

event or space to suit your needs.

Christmas 2011 will see the Guildhall celebrating its

140th birthday and we aim to celebrate in style If it’s

your birthday bring your friends to our birthday and

come and celebrate with us at our Open party nights

celebration on 21st and 22nd December 2011,

Guildhall Winchester has 10 beautifully refurbished

event spaces, which can cater for celebrations from

10 – 300 guests for package and menu details please

refer to the Wise package on page 6.

Festive Events 2011/12 140th Birthday Celebrations

Why not make your 2011 lunchtime celebration

bespoke to your requirements, our banqueting

suppliers are more than happy to create a unique

menu for your event. If you’re looking for either a

traditional festive celebration or a more contemporary

take on the festive season, Guildhall Winchester is the

place to be.

A special festive themed menu will also be available

daily in eighteen71 throughout December. Ideal for

people who want to meet up and then also explore

the many festive attractions available in Winchester.

Informal celebrations

Celebrates the best of Victorian Elegance with a

contemporary feel, this grand ballroom which boasts

many of its beautiful original features recently

restored, large stage suitable for any performer and

state of the art lighting system to create the perfect

mood for any event. Comfortably seating up to 300

guests for a dinner.

The Walton Suite

The Guildhall’s best kept secret, the Walton Suite is

one of the highest event spaces in the city of

Winchester and makes full use of the roof top terrace

and amazing views over the roof tops to St Giles Hill

and beyond, Glass atriums create up-close vistas of

the famous Guildhall clock

tower. Comfortably seating

up to 80 guests

The Courtyard

If you’re looking for a unique, quirky, contemporary

event space then look no further. Formerly housing

the cells of the Winchester law courts, the Courtyard

with arched vaults, pillars and outside courtyard is

both intimate and spacious. Comfortably seating 140

guests.

Viennese favourites, including

works by Johann Strauss II and

Franz Lehár.

"Britain's leading operatic duo", Claire Rutter and

Stephen Gadd, are joined by the Southern Sinfonia

(Konzertmeister Alexander Hohenthal) conducted by

Matthew Wood.

donated to the Pinder Centre, a Winchester-based

registered charity which treats patients of all ages

suffering from a range of illnesses and disabilities,

both short- and long-term.
