GUIDELINES FOR THE IMPORTATION OF LIVE PET ANIMALS TO THE PHILIPPINES DOG AND CATS Upon arrival at the ports of entry at Airports or Seaports, present the following documents to the Veterinary Quarantine Personnel: 1. Import Permit – issued by the Bureau of Animal Industry or BAI. Submit the attached APPLICATION FOR IMPORT PERMIT directly to the following address: Animal Health Division Bureau of Animal Industry Visayas Avenue Diliman, Quezon City Philippines Telephone No. (632) 928 2743 Fax No. (632) 928 2836 Website: www.bai.gov.ph 2. Veterinary Health Certificate – Issued by the Veterinary Regulatory Office of the country of origin. This Certificate certifies the health worthiness of the animals to be brought to the Philippines, which includes vaccination. APPLYING FOR IMPORT PERMITS 1. Write the Director of the Bureau of Animal Industry (see above address) for the issuance of an Import Permit, using the attached APPLICATION. 2. Upon receipt of the application, the BAI will process and issue the Import Permit and immediately send the same to the applicant by mail or facsimile. Follow-ups on the Permit should be made directly with BAI. 3. Payments of fees are to be arranged directly with BAI. Always consult the mode of payment as well as the new rates of inspection fees.
