The maximum validity period of such DSCs shall be one year only.  One copy of signed application form (which can be downloaded from the NIC CA website https://nicca.nic.in) with photograph & ID proof (employee ID card preferred) need to be submitted to the Registration  Authority (RA) Office at NIC Kerala State Centre, Thiruvananthapuram addressed to The State Informatics Officer NIC Kerala State Centre C-DAC Building, Vellayambalam Thiruvananthapuram – 695 033.  The validity period of a DSC application form is 3 months. So it may not be possible to accept a DSC application or an online request for Signing/ Encryption certificate if the date of signing the application form (on Page 1) is prior to 3 months.  Mandatory fields like Date of Superannuation , Nam e, em ail id, o r g a n i za t i o n , o r g a n i za t i o n u n i t , city  etc. need to be filled properly.  Please mention the office address with PIN Code.  The application form should bear the dated signature of Head of Office/JS/ Superior Officer of the applicant along with the seal of the office.  Please ensure that there is no mismatch in the name of the applicant in the application form and in the ID proof while submitting the application form.  Please provide at least one contact number in the application form.  DDs (preferably from a Nationalised/Scheduled Bank) for Rs. 555/- (for Govt. Departments) and Rs. 755/- (for PSUs) may be drawn in favour of DDO, NIC Kerala payable at Thiruvananthapuram for Signing/ Encryption certificates. Details of fee are given in the NIC CA site link http://nicca.nic.in/html/fee.html. Payment in the form of Cash/Cheque is not accepted. Renewal of Signing/Encryption certificate is free of cost for Govt. departments. For PSUs, the renewal fee is Rs. 200/-.  For fresh/renewal of SSL certificates, there is no fee for government departments. For PSUs, the fee is Rs. 200/- for fresh/renewal of SSL.  For PAN embedded DSCs, please attach a copy of PAN card also.

  Once the application form is processed and a user id and Smartcard/USBToken is received, the user has to enroll and download thesigning/encryption certificate online by logging in to the NIC CA websitehttps://nicca.nic.in .

  In case of SSL certificate, after receiving the user id, the user has to log in

to NIC CA website and do the enrolment by pasting the Certificate SigningRequest (CSR) generated from the server.  Detailed instructions on enrollment and downloading the certificate shall

 be given to the user by e-mail.  For Class-3 certificates, the applicant is required to be present at the RA

Office at NIC Kerala State Centre, Thiruvananthapuram with proof of theiridentity for issuing DSC.
