That said, there are several general points of advice we’ll share with you that will help make any fan page a more engaging environment for your consumers: Your Facebook fan page's ‘About’ section needs to include a direct iTunes link to your app at its forefront. Put this link into the first line of your ‘About’ text so visitors see it instantly. While your page’s ‘Profile’ and ‘Cover’ pictures should effectively present your app, these graphics should not be exact copies of the graphic materials you’ve utilized in its marketing copy or on its App Store page. Facebook’s Profile and Cover picture windows have unique dimensions that give you the freedom to present more visual information. Take the opportunity to advertise your product in a dynamic new way here. o Extra Hint: These graphic windows are a great place to place a “call to action” for your prospective consumers to download and try out your app. There’s no limit to how many updates you can post on your app’s fan page, but generally speaking updating it more than 1 or 2 times a day isn’t a good idea. If you update your page too frequently you’ll end up overwhelming your visitors with information. The risk is two-fold here - first off, more likely than not constant updates will simply annoy your subscribers by blowing up their accounts with a never-ending stream of notifications. Second, if you inundate your audience with information you risk having important news go unnoticed.
