    Guidelines for BARTI UPSC-CET

    Important:

    A. Centre Selection form: 1. All the candidates who have applied online for BARTI-CET need to fill the Centre Selection Form on the

    link http://bartiupsc.cdac.in.

    2. Applicants need to give their 1st, 2nd & 3rd preference of BARTI-CET centre in Centre Selection Form. 3. Filling the Centre Selection Form is mandatory for all Applicants.

    4. The last date for submitting your choices is 25th July, 2013.

    5. Candidate failing to submit centre selection form before 25th July, 2013will not be issued admit card & will

    not be allowed to appear for BARTI-CET.

    B. Instructions for selection of BARTI CET centre:

    1. If you are selected for coaching, the centre selected for BARTI-CET will also be your coaching centre.

    2. Centre wise merit list will be prepared after BARTI- CET.

    3. Only, the first preference of BARTI-CET given by candidates in Centre Selection Form will be considered

    while preparing centre wise merit list. No candidate will be considered for the coaching centre of their 2nd &

    3rd preference.

    4. Please note that since the merit list is going to be prepared centre wise the candidates should carefully select their first preference of centre in the centre selection form.

    5. It is possible that some candidates may have higher rank in the overall state level merit list but do not get

    selected in the coaching centre of their first choice if the competition for the particular centre is high.

    6. Some candidates may have lower rank in the overall sate level merit list but may get selected for the centre of their first choice, if there is less competition for the centre chosen.

    For Example:

    Candidate A has given first preference to University of Pune Centre and has a percentile of 80. Candidate A may rank lower in merit list for University of Pune Centre and thus may not get selected for coaching if competition for University of Pune Centre is very high.

    On the other hand, if candidate B has given preference to a centre in Amravati and has a percentile of 60 (lower than candidate A),s/he may rank higher in the merit list of the centre in Amravati and may get selected for coaching if competition is for centre in Amravati is less.

    Last date for submission of centre selection form 25th July, 2013 Admit Card available on http://bartiupsc.cdac.in After 27th July, 2013 Date of BARTI-CET 04 August 2013.Tentative date of commencement of coaching classes. 19 August 2013.

    D. Frequently Asked Questions

    1. How can I get my admit card?

    An Admit Card, bearing the candidates name, registration number, schedule, test centre allotted will be available online after 27th July 2013, on the link http//:bartiupsc.cdac.in

    No candidates will be allowed to appear for BARTI CET without admit card. Physically disabled {PD} candidates need to bring certificate of disability certified by Government

    Board along with Admit Card at the time of BARTI- CET.

    2. Syllabus for BARTI UPSC -CET?

    3. Is there any negative marking system for wrong answer?

    For wrong answer to an objective type question, candidates will get negative 1/3 (negative one third)

    of the maximum marks assigned to that question 4. When will I get the result for BARTI CET?

    Result will be made available through our website- http//:barti.maharastra.gov.in. 10 days after

    BARTI-CET. 5. Will Physically Disabled candidates get writer during CET?

    Physically disabled candidates need to arrange writer for CET themselves. Such candidates need to

    inform the respective centre prior to BARTI CET.

    30% seats are reserved for womens candidates. 3 % seats are reserved for physically disabled candidates. Candidates not belonging to Scheduled Caste are not entitled for any other benefits except

    free coaching. 7. Who can get stipend and book kit for (UPSC Civil services- coaching classes)?

    The students who belong to Scheduled Caste candidates having annual family income below Rs. 6 lakh and having attendance above 80% consistently for entire duration of course are entitled for stipend (Rs. 4000/- per month) and book kit.

    Candidates not belonging to Scheduled Caste are not entitled for stipends and book kit. 8. What is the duration for UPSC (Civil services) coaching classes?

    Duration of coaching classes will be of 9 months; from 19th August, 2013 to 19th May, 2014. 9. Timing for UPSC (Civil services) coaching classes?

    The timing for conducting class will be decided by the centre and will be informed to selected candidates later.

    10. Is there any difference in the program or facilities available at various institutes?

    Uniformity will be observed at every centre in CET, Syllabus, Course Content, Schedule, Test series, Book kit, and other aspects.
