Spool Valve Hydraulic Motors

Spool valve motors are typicallyused where compact, economicalsolutions are most needed in lowpressure applications. Spool valvemotors use a spool to preciselytime and control flow through theorbit gear set (Geroter or Geroler).Inlet flow is directed into and outof the orbit set via slots in thespool and passages through themotor housing. The result is avery cost-effective, compact pack-age suited to many applicationrequirements.

Applications: Harvesters, augers.

Specifications: Rated Speed: Up to 1,000 rpm. Torque Range:Up to 565 Nm (5,000 lb-in).Options: Variety of optional shafts,ports, mountings and displacements. Output Shafts:Straight with woodruff key,splined, tapered or straight with cross holes.

Delta Wheel Motors

The Char-Lynn® Delta wheel motor is designed to be an easy drop-inreplacement for competitive wheelmotors and offers several benefits.Char-Lynn’s all new Delta Wheelmotor will fill the growing need for a 4,000 psi intermittent pressurewheel motor. The Delta wheelmotor’s performance is based on proven disc valve technology with higher efficiencies and longerlife through lower temperature operation.

Disc Valve Hydraulic Motors

The Disc valve motors include the2,000 series, 4,000 series, 4,000compact series, 6,000 series andthe 10,000 series. They all comewith standard mount, wheel mountor bearingless. The Char-Lynn rangeoffers many displacements, outputshafts, port configurations and amultitude of special options thatmakes this product line the mostflexible product to apply in theindustry. Applications: Swing motor, brushcutters and mowers.

HP30 Series Hydraulic Motors

The Char-Lynn® HP30 disc valvemotor targets mobile off-highwayapplications requiring up to 3,389Nm of intermittent torque andcontinuous operation with flow of170 lpm at 310 bar, intermittentoperation at 265 lpm and 345 barand maximum inlet pressure of400 bar.

Applications: Mobile off-highwayvehicles.

Specifications: Efficiencies of theChar-Lynn valving system include:Rated Pressure: Up to 420 bar(6,000 psi) intermittent, 30,000 in-lbs of torque. Highest startingtorque, even compared to camlobe motors, smooth two speedoption with integrated shift underload (1:1.5 ratio) and and integrat-ed hydraulic brake option.

Valve-In-Star™ (VIS) HydraulicMotors

The Valve-In-Star (VIS) motors arethe next step in the evolution ofthe low speed high torque (LSHT)hydraulic motors. The VIS providesdesign advantages over othertypes of LSHT hydraulic motorvalving resulting in a more com-pact package with better efficien-cy and higher pressure capability.These improvements have shownsignificant packaging and perform-ance advantages in applicationssuch as skid steer loaders, miniexcavators, trenchers and loggingequipment. VIS motors are prima-rily intended for use in closed loopapplications.

Applications: Skid steer loaders,specialty harvesting, compactors,augers, forestry equipment, roadrollers, sprayers and trenchers.

Specifications: Rated Speed: Up to 500 rpm. Torque Range: Up to 5,085 Nm (45,000 lb-in).

Hydrokraft Axial Piston Motors

Vickers Hydrokraft™ axial pistonmotors are ideally suited for themost demanding industrial typeapplications, including the harshenvironment found in the offshoreand oilfield markets. These motorsare designed with the largest shaftbearings available for full thru-drivecapability and long life required forindustrial applications. Thesemotors are available with a widerange of controls for the variabledisplacement versions including fullover-center capability. Hydrokraftproducts are able to operate on awide range of fluids includingwater-glycol.

Applications: Steel mills andmarine applications.

Specifications: Displacement: 66 cc–750 cc. Rated Pressure: Upto 350 bar (5,000 psi); intermittentto 420 bar (6,000 psi). Rated Speed(Max.): 2,800–1,800 rpm.

ME Series Hydraulic Motors

These double swash plate,opposed-piston, low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motors operatesmoothly at low speed within themaximum ratings and cause verylittle torque ripple.

Applications: Swing drives,winches, top head drives, direc-tional drilling machines and propeldrives for large vehicles.

Specifications: Rated Pressure:248 and 276 bar (3,600 and 4,000psi). Torque Range: Up to 16,136Nm (11,900 lb-in).

Vane Motors

Vane motors are used in industrial andmobile applications. The proven relia-bility and the available cartridge kitdesigns make for uptime and easyserviceability. Additionally, a low breakout force smooths out the start-upspeed allowing for vane motors to bemore forgiving to system pressurespikes. Vane motors offer an economi-cal, efficient and economical meansof applying variable speed, rotaryhydraulic power and offer variablehorsepower (constant torque) charac-teristics. They can be stalled underload without damage when protectedby a relief valve.

Applications: Plastic injection mold-ing and conveyors.

Specifications: Displacement: 1.32 in3/rev (21.6 cc/rev)–19.35 in3/rev(317.1 cc/rev). Rated Pressure: Up to175 bar (2,500 psi) (size dependent).Rated Speed: Up to 4,000 rpm.Torque Range: Up to 119–847 Nm(1,050 to 7,500 lb-in). Heavy dutyshaft bearing is also available.

Vane Pumps

Series 25

The Series 25 Steering Control Unit(SCU) includes two patenteddesigns (Balanced Architectureand Wide Angle) that make it evenmore responsive, reliable and costeffective. Symmetrical valving pro-vides passageways and valvingthat are equal in both directionsand pressure areas that arestaged for minimum leakage.Progressive valving makes it pos-sible to produce the spool/sleevevalve in a way that assures reliabil-ity and reduces costs. Eaton'shigh capacity gerotor assemblyprovides a lot of capacity in asmall package.

Applications: Large articulatedvehicles such as, loaders, miningtrucks, graders, scrapers, haulersand transporters.

Specifications: Displacement:490–1,230 cm3/r (30–75 in3/rev).Rated Flow: 95–151 lpm (25–40gpm). Rated Pressure (Max.): 241bar (3,500 psi).

Steering Accessories

Eaton offers a complete line ofsteering columns and wheels tofit every need. Fixed and tiltcolumns feature a sturdy weld-ment design and are phosphatecoated to maintain corrosionresistance. Columns are availablewith multiple jacket types and vari-ous horn wire configurations.Lengths from 2.2” to 33” willensure that these columns can becustomized for any application.

Eaton also offers steering wheelswith added features like soft touchfeel, spinner knobs and horn but-tons. Wheels come in a standard3-spoke design with size from 14”to 17”.

Series 40

The Series 40 Steering ControlUnits (SCU) is designed for thehighest flow, highest pressureapplications, and is the most capa-ble steering control unit on themarket. This SCU features patent-ed Eaton technology and hasdesign attributes that result in responsive, smooth, stable and cost effective steering.

Applications: Large articulatedand fixed frame vehicles.

Specifications: Displacement:1,230 (75 in3/rev)–3,030 cm3/r (185in3/rev). Rated Flow: 151–227 lpm(40–60 gpm). Rated Pressure(Max.): 241 bar (3,500 psi).

V/VQ Pumps

The V series pumps are designed formedium pressure industrial applica-tions. Its industry-first intra-vane car-tridge design provides long operatinglife, outstanding volumetric efficiencyand excellent serviceability. The super-quiet 12-vane system is ideal for theindoor industrial environment. The22nd design is well known for reliabili-ty and versatility, and is extensivelyused in industrial machinery all overthe world.

Applications: V Series – Generalindustrial applications such as plasticinjection molding machines, presses,material handling machines, industrialpower units, aerial booms.

VQ Series – General mobile applica-tions such as wheel loaders.

Specifications: Displacement: .45 in3/rev–20.61 in3/rev (7.4–337.8cc/rev). Using single; double and triple pump combined flow. RatedPressure (Max.): Up to 210 bar (3,000psi) continuous. Rated Speed: Up to2,700 rpm.

VMQ Pumps

The Vickers VMQ is the world leader inpressure capacity and noise levelsand is available in a complete range ofsingles, doubles, triples and thru-drives. The unique wafer plate designof the VMQ allows for the increase inviscosity and pressure rise duringcold start-up – something that com-petitors do not have. The Vickers VMQ32nd design is the highest pressure,lowest noise fixed vane pump avail-able.

Applications: Marine and railwaywinches, oil field and drilling equip-ment, earthmoving and constructionequipment, high-pressure plasticinjection molding machines, largepress machines, trash compactorsand large balers.

Series 5

The Series 5 Steering Control Units(SCU) are designed for low flow, lowpressure applications. The Series 5units are available in two compactdesigns: Square housing (mount)unit with side ports and round hous-ing (mount) unit with end ports. Inaddition to the installation flexibility,this new family of products has best-in-class steering feel and providescrisp centering. These units alsohave better efficiency (lower pres-sure drop) than competitive units.

Applications: Lawn, garden and turfequipment, lift trucks, marine andcompact utility tractors.

Specifications: Displacement: 31.5 (1.92 in3/rev)–120 cm3/r (7.33in3/rev). Rated Flow: 11–19 lpm(3–5 gpm). Rated Pressure (Max.):140 bar (2,030 psi).

Series 20

The Series 20 Steering ControlUnit (SCU) continues Eaton’s tradi-tion of innovative design and highquality. The Series 20 SCU providesmuch smoother steering functionwith Eaton’s patented wide-anglefeature, minimizing jerk motion onarticulated vehicles. The seal andcentering spring designs providepositive, low-effort steering feel toensure excellent vehicle control, animportant feature for the vehiclesfor which these steering controlunits were designed.

Applications: Articulated vehicles,such as wheel loaders, forestryequipment and dump trucks.

Specifications: Displacement: 60–985 cm3/r (3.6-60 in3/rev). Rated Flow: 38–125 lpm (10–33gpm). Rated Pressure (Max.): 241 bar (3,500 psi).

Series 10

Eaton’s Series 10 Steering ControlUnit (SCU) facilitates hydraulic fluidflow like no other unit on the market.This highly-engineered product is theultimate SCU for mid-range flowapplications. The Series 10 SCU hasan unprecedented, continuous pres-sure rating of 275 bar (4,000 psi),making it ideal for heavy-duty equip-ment, such as construction and agri-cultural machinery. Its high-pressurerating reduces overall equipmentcosts, since smaller cylinder sizescan be assigned into the system. TheSeries 10 can incorporate provenEaton technologies, including Q-Amp, Wide Angle, Versa Steer andTwo-speed Steering.

Applications: Heavy-duty equipment, such as construction,forestry and agricultural vehicles.

Open Circuit Piston Pumps

420 series mobile pumps are opencircuit, axial piston designs. A vari-ety of controls provide the ability tomatch the pumps to each applica-tion. Efficiency of the pump con-trols allows downsizing of systemscooling needs, allowing a smallerand less expensive design to beused. Alternatively, cooling capacitycould be kept the same and theflow capability of the systemincreased, thus improving perform-ance and customer satisfaction.
