The framework and common language provided by the HR Competency Diamond as contained in this website provides the competencies and behaviours that all of us, regardless of level or geography, must have to become world class. It is only when we are exhibiting these competencies and behaviours in our daily work that we will deliver on our ambition to: Create together a great place to work where we develop individuals, teams and the organisation to deliver high performance.

As you review this website, I encourage you to ask yourself: What does excellence look like in my job? Do I know where my real strengths lie? What capability gaps do I need to work on to improve and progress? Most important, do I have a development plan that helps me address my needs and takes me to the next level in my performance and my career? The answers to these questions are at the heart of this HR Competency Diamond framework.

The success of this new model will depend on how much all of us use the competencies to guide our personal development and ultimately how much we bring them to life in our daily work. I encourage you to take full advantage of the development opportunities this model offers by discussing the competencies with your manager, colleagues and teams, agreeing the personal development priorities with your manager, and securing her or his commitment to your Personal Development Plan.

We put safety first with MT and other leaders by ensuring that the OpCo set a plan to improve safety in all functions, based on global standards and best practices, local data and local audit findings.

We ensure HEINEKEN can work in challenging environments by creating access to appropriate health care for workers, expats and business travelers when working in developing countries.

We ensure the needed health and safety capacities and competencies are available and training is provided within the OpCos.

We make sure accidents, incidents and near misses are reported correctly and safety data is analyzed and used to drive and monitor safety improvements.
