2. INTRODUCTION This guide aims to help partners and service providers who need to manage their clients’ security and
lifecycle simply and effectively from a single management console with maximum vendor autonomy.
You can do everything online from anywhere on the Internet, in real time and with just a few clicks.
With Panda Cloud Partner Center you will be able to manage your clients, assign them licenses to
protect their computers (servers, PCs and laptops) and email, and manage their security. This
straightforward guide will help you make the most of Panda Cloud Partner Center, allowing you to
reduce the time spent managing your clients’ security and dedicate it to growing your business.
2.1. Types of Panda Security partners Resellers
Partners who sell Panda Security products and manage basic aspects of their clients’ security.
Managed Service Providers (MSP)
Partners who sell Panda Security products to their clients and manage their security proactively.
ISP
Partners who integrate their back office into Panda Security’s back office to register clients and their
licenses automatically. Both clients and their licenses will be visible in Panda Cloud Partner Center.
Panda offers a Web service to help partners integrate and synchronize their back office with ours.
Distributor
Partners who buy large volumes of licenses, and then distribute those licenses among their partners,
who in turn sell them to end clients. Distributors keep a stock of licenses to quickly respond to the
everyday license needs of their partners.
Panda Cloud Partner Center meets the needs of each type of partner, as it allows them to centrally
manage endpoint and email security from one single console. Partners can sell the products from trial
to purchase to renewal, covering the entire client lifecycle.

2.3. Managing clients’ lifecycle, licenses and security Panda Cloud Partner Center makes it easier to manage the sales cycle of Panda Security’s corporate
solution suite:
Panda Cloud Office Protection → Endpoint protection (PCs, servers and laptops).
Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced → All the features of Panda Cloud Office Protection
plus protection for Exchange Server.
Panda Cloud Email Protection → Perimeter protection for email. It blocks spam, malware and
inappropriate traffic.
Panda Cloud Protection → A solution that includes Panda Cloud Office Protection and Panda
Cloud Email Protection.
Panda Cloud Systems Management → Manage all devices on your corporate network
centrally and remotely.
The Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console provides partners with consolidated information about
license availability. Licenses purchased by partners are stored in “licenses pools”.
Partners can use these license pools to assign licenses to new and existing clients, as well as renewing
expired licenses.
In addition, the Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console lets you monitor the number of licenses
purchased by each client and their expiration date. You can choose to filter that information based on
several criteria. To do this, click “Options” (Status screen/Options).
10
Panda Cloud Partner Center lets you manage your clients’ computer security by configuring the
updates, customizing their protection and administration console, copying configuration profiles from
one client to another and generating and sending reports. In addition, you can access clients’
administration consoles (for Panda Cloud Office Protection and Panda Cloud Email Protection) via
Single Sign‐On. To do this, click the client’s name or ID.

3. GETTING STARTED Panda Cloud Partner Center is accessed from Panda Cloud (https://www.pandacloudsecurity.com),
the centralized point of access for all Panda Security’s cloud‐based services.
3.1. Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console login To access the Web console:
1. Enter your Login email and Password in the Panda Cloud Partner Center section.
2. Accept the terms and conditions of the License Agreement (you will only be asked to do so once).
You will then see the Web console main screen. From this screen you can access each of the solution
areas:
17
4. MANAGING CLIENTS WITH PARTNER CENTER The Panda Cloud Partner Center console lets you manage your clients in groups instead of
individually. To do that, we advise you to become familiar with the following concepts:
Creating users with different permissions.
Managing client groups.
Registering new clients.
You can create users with different permissions to allow them to manage only one or several client
groups, thus ensuring that they manage client groups correctly.
4.1. Creating users The first time you access the Web console, you will use the default user sent to you in the welcome
email. This user cannot be deleted and has total control permissions.
You can create new users by clicking the Users option in the top right corner of the screen.
18
This will take you to the Edit Users screen. There you can give different permissions to the users you
create, check their status (enabled or disabled), and assign them groups of clients whose security
they can manage.
4.2. Managing client groups To manage your clients, click the Clients tab in the menu bar on the Web console main screen.
This section lets you organize clients into groups. When creating a client group, bear in mind that you
can create different groups with the same name, provided they do not have the same parent group.
You can set the level or parent group that a client must belong to.
19
Click a group's name to find out the clients that comprise it, as well as the number and type of
licenses they have contracted. This will take you to the Client groups ‐ Edit group screen.
Click Options if you want to use the search tool. You can search for clients according to the type of
licenses they have and the comments entered for each client.
If you want to move a client from one group to another, do it from the Clients in group tab. Select
the client(s) that you want to move, and the target group. Then click Move.
The Available clients tab shows a list of clients that are visible to you (depending on your
permissions) and do not belong to the group that you are editing. Each client displays the number
and types of licenses they have contracted, as well as any comments associated with them. Select the
client(s) to add to the group.
Go back to the Clients main screen and you will see that the group you have created is at the
corresponding level in the group tree.
You can only eliminate groups that do not contain any clients or subgroups.
Create client groups and user accounts in such a way that each reseller can only
manage their own client groups. Then, each reseller can organize their own clients
by geographic area or other criteria by creating client subgroups.
20
4.3. Registering new clients You can register new clients in two ways:
From the Status tab on the main screen, clicking Assign licenses to clients.
From the Clients tab on the main screen, clicking Register new client.
21
Both links will take you to the License assignment screen. The only difference is that, if you
reach this screen through the Register new client link, the New client option will be selected
by default, whereas if you used the Assign licenses to clients link, you will see the Existing
client option selected by default.
Creation of new clients is an asynchronous process. The maximum time that elapses from the time a
new client is created until it is registered in Partner Center and licenses are assigned to them is 5
minutes.
The process to create a new client may take approximately 5 minutes. Before trying to create the same client again, make sure the previous operation has finished. Contact our Support Department if the process is not completed within an hour.
Until the client creation process has finished successfully, the corresponding licenses will not be
deducted from your license pool.
Once the client creation process has finished correctly:
The corresponding quantity of licenses will be deducted from your license pool.
The licenses will be removed from the list of licenses in the process of being assigned.
The license validity period will start running.
22
4.4. ‘Comment’ field The content of the ‘Comment’ field is associated with each client. To enter a comment, go to the
‘Client details’ screen. The comments can be up to 256 characters long.
You can use the content of the comment field to search for clients on the Status screen.
Remember that, in order to see the comments associated with a client, it is not necessary to go to the
‘Client details’ page. You can also see them in the tooltip displayed when placing the mouse pointer
on a client name in the client grid.
23
5. CLIENT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT (TRIAL – PURCHASE –
RENEWAL) The Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console lets you assign trial versions to clients, monitor them
and convert trial versions to commercial versions.
5.1. Trial licenses The Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console lets you assign existing clients trial licenses of products
that they do not have. So, for example, a client with Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses could be
given trial licenses of Panda Cloud Email Protection, but not of Panda Cloud Office Protection.
You can also offer trial licenses to new and potential clients.
5.1.1. Assigning trial licenses to clients
You can assign trial licenses of:
Panda Cloud Office Protection.
Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced.
Panda Cloud Email Protection.
Panda Cloud Protection (Panda Cloud Office Protection + Panda Cloud Email Protection).
Panda Cloud Systems Management.
Trials include 25 licenses for a period of one month.
24
If you need more than 25 licenses for a trial or a period longer than 1 month, please contact your distributor or Panda Security sales advisor.
This feature gives you an easy way to offer evaluation versions of Panda Cloud Office Protection,
Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced, Panda Cloud Email Protection, Panda Cloud Protection or
Panda Cloud Systems Management to all clients who want to try these products.
Trial licenses are free, so you do not need to have sufficient licenses in your license pool to be able to assign them.
5.1.2. Monitoring the use of trials Panda Cloud Partner Center lets you monitor the use of trials and is therefore a good tool for
converting new trials into sales.
The Panda Cloud Partner Center Status tab contains a series of filters for filtering client information.
Click Options to use these filters.
These filters are extremely useful for obtaining valuable information quickly.
25
For example, you can see all clients that have a Trial version, making it easier to follow up these
clients and work on converting them into sales.
Remember that clients will disappear from the client list 90 days after their licenses expire. You can
also delete the client befo
While the licenses have not expired, and during the 15‐day grace period that follows the expiration
date, clients will be visible in the Panda Cloud Partner Center console. It will also be possible to access
their Web console via SSO (Single Sign‐On) by clicking their name.
For 75 days after the grace period (15 days) has expired, the client will remain in the Panda Cloud
Partner Center console but it will not be possible to access their console via SSO. If there is an
attempt to do so, an error message will appear
In short:
Before licenses expire and for 15 days afterwards, clients are visible in the Panda Cloud Partner Center console and their console can be accessed via SSO.
After the 15‐day grace period and for 75 days, the client will be visible but there is no SSO access to their console.
90 days (15 of grace period + 75) after their licenses expire, the client disappears from the Status screen.
26
It is therefore critical to monitor clients with trial versions in accordance with the status of their
licenses, and contact them while the product is still active.
Panda Cloud Partner Center allows you to filter clients according to their license status (clients with
expired licenses, clients whose trial expires in one week, etc.). It therefore helps identify clients who
should be contacted with a view to converting the trial into a sale.
27
5.1.3. Converting trial licenses to commercial licenses All clients with a trial version that finally decide to buy the product will keep the same credentials
and, accordingly, the deployment and configuration work done for the trial also serves for the
commercial version.
The switch from a trial version to a commercial version simply involves assigning the relevant licenses
to the client from the license assignment screen.
As soon as the commercial licenses are assigned, the trial licenses disappear from the database. From
that moment on, the client can enjoy the commercial licenses assigned to them.
If you assign commercial licenses to a client who had trial licenses of a product it won’t be necessary to reinstall the protection on the computers on which the trial version was installed. All protection settings are kept up to 90 days after the licenses have expired.
28
5.2. Commercial licenses
5.2.1. Viewing licenses Panda Cloud Partner Center lets you manage your licenses. The Web console shows the number of
licenses you have purchased.
You can buy the number of licenses that you want for the following products:
Panda Cloud Office Protection.
Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced.
Panda Cloud Systems Management.
Panda Cloud Email Protection.
29
Panda Cloud Protection (Panda Cloud Office Protection + Panda Cloud Email Protection).
You can also see ‘Upgrade’ licenses from Panda Cloud Office Protection to Advanced. Chapter
6 in this guide contains more information on the process to assign Panda Cloud Office
Protection Advanced licenses.
In all cases licenses will be valid for 1, 2 or 3 years.
You can see the number of licenses you have bought and the license period in the Panda Cloud
Partner Center Web console. These licenses will not be active until they are assigned to a client, that
is, the license period will not commence until you assign them to a client.
ISP partners who sell services under a monthly subscription model do not need to have licenses available in stock, as in this case the licenses are automatically assigned to their clients thanks to integration with Panda Security’s back‐end.
30
5.2.2. Assigning licenses to clients Assigning licenses to clients is very simple. Provided there are license available, clients can be
assigned the exact number of licenses that they want directly from Panda Cloud Partner Center at
any time.
As previously said, the license period will not commence until you assign the licenses to a new or
existing client.
To assign licenses to an existing client, first you must select the client to whom you want to assign the
licenses.
Then you must select the type of licenses choosing between:
Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses.
Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses.
Panda Cloud Email Protection licenses.
31
Panda Cloud Protection licenses (Panda Cloud Office Protection + Panda Cloud Email
Protection).
Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses.
The license periods are:
1 year.
2 years.
3 years.
32
Specify the number of licenses to be assigned to the client in the quantity field. A message will be
displayed to the right of this field indicating the number of licenses (of the selected type/period)
available.
If you select more licenses than those available, an error message appears and no license is assigned.
Licenses assigned to an existing client are assigned in real time, and can be used immediately.
Assigning Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses When assigning Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses, you must specify:
1. Whether you are an MSP (Managed Service Provider) and will use Panda Cloud Systems Management to provide a managed service to your clients.
2. Whether you are a reseller and are simply selling Panda Cloud Systems Management to your clients (it will be your clients that will use the tool, not you).
In case #1 it is the partner that uses the Panda Cloud Systems Management console, not the end
client. In case #2, however, it is the end client that uses the Panda Cloud Systems Management
console.
33
Therefore, when assigning Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses, the following screen is
displayed:
If you select “Managed by me” (default option), the licenses will be assigned to your client’s account
but it will be you that use them through a single Panda Cloud Systems Management console from
which you will manage all clients who buy managed Cloud Systems Management services.
If you select “Managed by the client”, the licenses will be assigned to the end client and only the end
client will be able to access the Panda Cloud Systems Management console.
If, when switching from a trial to a commercial version of Panda Cloud Systems
Management, you select ‘Managed by me’, it will be necessary to reinstall the agent on
every computer that had it installed.
It is extremely important to choose the right option when assigning Panda Cloud Systems
Management licenses. For MSPs it is very important to be able to manage all clients from
their single Panda Cloud Systems Management console, sharing scripts, monitors, filters, etc.
If you make a mistake, this new version of Panda Cloud Partner Center allows you to change
a client’s PCSM licenses from managed to unmanaged and vice versa. This change, however,
will require reinstalling the agent on every computer where it was previously installed.
34
When assigning Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses to a new client, a message will also be
displayed asking if the service will be managed by you or by the client themselves.
Every time you assign Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses to a client, you must specify
whether the service will be managed or not (unmanaged).
If a client managed by an MSP already has Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses (of the
‘managed’ type), they can only be assigned Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses of the same
type as they already have.
35
That is, in the case of a client who already has Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses
(‘managed’ type), the ‘Managed by me’ option will be selected by default, and the “Managed by the
client” option will appear grayed out.
Likewise, in the case of a client who already has licenses (‘unmanaged’ type), the ‘Managed by me’
option will appear grayed out, and the “Managed by the client” option will be selected by default.
Changing Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses from Managed to Unmanaged an vice versa If the Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses assigned to a client were incorrectly assigned,
there is the possibility to change them from Managed to Unmanaged and vice versa.
To do this, you must access the client’s details page. There, you will be able to convert PCSM’s
unmanaged licenses into managed and vice versa.
License conversion from managed to unmanaged (and vice versa) will be logged in the license
assignment history.
Trial licenses cannot be converted to managed licenses. Trial licenses are given to clients who
want to evaluate the product in order to manage it themselves, so it doesn’t make any sense
to convert them to ‘managed’.
Converting the service from managed to unmanaged and vice versa will require reinstalling
the agent on every computer that had it installed.
36
Assigning Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses If a new client wants to enjoy Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced, and benefit from endpoint
protection plus antivirus and anti‐spam protection for Exchange Server, URL filtering and Web access
control, all you have to do is assign Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses to them.
Early license renewal
Clients with Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses can renew them and switch to Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced before their current subscription expires.
An early renewal involves two processes:
1. Converting the client's current Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses to Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses.
2. Extending the validity of the client's licenses for the selected period (1 , 2 or 3 years)
To convert the current Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses to Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses, take the following into account:
1. The client may currently have several license contracts, each of them with a different number of licenses and different expiration dates.
2. The number of Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses the client wants may be different from the number of Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses they currently have.
37
Example
You have a client with 12 Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses, split into the following license contracts:
1 license contract with 2 licenses and 30 days left to expiration
1 license contract with 2 licenses and 50 days left to expiration
1 license contract with 8 licenses and 60 days left to expiration
...And they want 14 1‐year licenses of Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced.
Procedure
The first thing you must do is calculate the number of days left on the client's current subscription:
License days = (2 licenses* 30 days) + (2 licenses * 50 days) + (8 licenses * 60 days) = 640 days
Next, divide those days by the number of new licenses that will be assigned to them (14, in this case):
640 days / 14 licenses = 45.71 days (46 days after round-up)
Add this to the 14 1‐year licenses (365 days) requested by the client, and you will have the final number of licenses to be assigned to the client and their validity period: 14 licenses valid for 46 + 365 = 411 days.
Important: The quantity obtained when calculating the number of days left on the client's current subscription can never exceed the number of days left on the license contract with the latest expiration date.
For example, in the previous example, let's suppose the client buys 3 licenses instead of 14:
Wrong calculation
640 days / 3 licenses = 213.33 days = 214 days
214 days + 365 days = 579 days
Right calculation
640 days / 3 licenses = 213.33 days (If the number exceeds the number of days left on the license contract with the latest expiration date (60), take this quantity: 60 days)
60 days + 365 days = 425 days
38
39
Upgrade from Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses to Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced
To upgrade a client's licenses from Panda Cloud Office Protection to Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced you must assign them ‘Upgrade to Advanced’ licenses.
To calculate the number of Upgrade licenses you will need, take the following into account:
1. The client may currently have several license contracts, each of them with a different number of licenses and different expiration dates.
2. In the ugprade process you simply switch licenses from one product to another, keeping the client's service contracts the same as before (with the same number of licenses and expiration dates).
Procedure
The first thing you must do is calculate the number of days left on the client's current subscription:
License days = (2 licenses* 30 days) + (2 licenses * 50 days) + (8 licenses * 60 days) = 640 days
Next, divide those days by 365 days (1 year):
Years of licensing = 640 days / 365 days (1 year) = 1.75 years
Finally, round up this number to the nearest whole number: 2.
2 years of service correspond to 2 1‐year licenses.
That is, in this case, to upgrade the client's licenses from Panda Cloud Office Protection to Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced you will need 2 Upgrade licenses.
5.2.3. Monitoring licenses The Monitoring screen displays information about your clients’ licenses.
The list displays all clients with the following licenses:
Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses:
o Clients with Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses only.
o Clients with Panda Cloud Office Protection and/or Panda Cloud Office Protection
Advanced licenses, and licenses of any other Panda Security cloud‐based solution,
like Panda Cloud Email Protection, Panda Cloud Internet Protection and Panda Cloud
Systems Management.
Panda Cloud Email Protection licenses:
o Clients with Panda Cloud Email Protection licenses only are also managed through the
Partner Center console (despite they don’t have Panda Cloud Office Protection
licenses). Bear in mind that all clients are displayed under their name or their
identifier, depending on what you have chosen in the Preferences screen.
You will see the following information for these clients:
1. The group to which the client belongs.
2. The type of license contracted (Release, Demo, Trial or Beta), the number of licenses
contracted and used, and the license expiration date.
3. The number of licenses contracted is the sum of all active licenses assigned to the client.
4. Number of licenses used: If the color of the number of licenses used is:
o Red →The total number of licenses used exceeds the number of licenses contracted.
This is due to the fact that clients are actually given 5% more licenses than the
40
number of licenses contracted (these additional licenses are for temporary use until
the client purchases all of the licenses they need).
The information on licenses used is only available for clients with Panda Cloud Office
Protection or Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses.
5. Next expiry date. This column shows the earliest expiration date of all contracts. In the case
of permanent licenses, it will display "permanent". If the color of the license expiration date
is:
o Orange →There are 30 days or less before license expiration.
o Red →The licenses have expired.
ISP partners can sell the service to clients under a monthly subscription model. In this case, the clients’ licenses will not expire and the ‘Next expiry date’ column will display ‘permanent’.
If you have clients with several license contracts assigned, and you need detailed information about
any of them, click on the client’s name or ID to access their Web console. Then:
1. If the client has Panda Cloud Office Protection or Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced licenses, you will access their Panda Cloud Office Protection or Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced console. Once there, you will see detailed information about the clients’ licenses.
2. If the client has Panda Cloud Email Protection licenses only (they don’t have Panda Cloud Office Protection), you will access their Panda Cloud Email Protection console.
3. If the client has contracted Panda Cloud Systems Management (in ‘unamanaged’ mode) and you click the client's name you will not be able to access the product's console. However, in this case, if the client has contracted any other products as well, you WILL be able to access those products.
5.3. Renewals Panda Cloud Partner Center facilitates renewal management as it identifies clients with licenses close
to their expiration date.
This way, your clients’ protection will always be active and up to date, preventing infections related
to outdated protection.
41
42
5.3.1. Identifying clients whose licenses need to be renewed Panda Cloud Partner Center helps you identify clients that have licenses up for renewal.
Console notifications regarding expired licenses or licenses close to expiration.
Apart from showing the earliest license expiration date, Panda Cloud Partner Center displays
notifications in the console about client’s expired licenses or those about to expire in the next 60
days. The warning says:
“XX licenses have expired or will expire within the next 60 days. More information”
– Where XX is the total number of expired licenses or those about to expire for all clients, all
products and all license periods.
If you do not have enough licenses in stock to be able to renew the licenses, the following warning
will be displayed so that you know that you need to purchase more licenses in order to carry out the
corresponding renewals: “You don’t have enough licenses to renew them”
Clicking “More Information” will download an Excel file with the following information:
Additional licenses required to renew clients’ licenses:
o Total number of licenses you need for each product, regardless of the license period.
o This section is only displayed if you do not have enough licenses to renew all the expired licenses.
Clients with licenses close to expiring.
o The following information will be displayed for each client.
Client
Identifier
Group
Number of licenses
Product
Expiration date
Renewal (automatic/manual)
o This information will be arranged by client and by expiration date.
The following image shows a partner with sufficient licenses in stock to cover all renewals.

44
Email notifications about expired licenses or licenses about to expire.
In addition to being able to see expired licenses or those about to expire in the next 60 days, you can
configure email notifications with this information which can be sent automatically to each user of
the Panda Cloud Partner Center console on the first day of every month.
This is highly useful as it means you do not need to access the Web console to get this information.
Each Panda Cloud Partner Center user can specify whether or not they want to receive this
information via email. This option is enabled by default for all Panda Cloud Partner Center users,
except for the default user, as their email address is not known. If you want the default user to
receive these notifications, you will need to select the relevant option and enter their email address.
Besides enabling and disabling these notifications, you can also configure the email address to send
these messages to and the message subject. By default, the email will be sent to the address
configured for each user in the Web console (in the Preferences section).
If this option is enabled, you will receive, on the first day of each month, an email with information
about the clients whose licenses have expired or are about to expire. This email includes an Excel file
45
with the following information (the same information as offered in the Excel file that can be
downloaded from the partner console):
Additional licenses required to renew the clients’ licenses (if you do not have sufficient stock to cover all license renewals).
Clients with licenses close to expiring.
Dear Partner,
The licenses of some of your clients have expired or are
about to expire.
XX licenses have expired or will expire within the next 60
days.
Please remember that Panda Cloud Partner Center lets
you renew your clients' licenses automatically.
Use the automatic renewal feature in the Panda Cloud
Partner Center Web console and forget the hassle of
renewing your clients' licenses.
Thank you for choosing Panda Security.
This email will only be sent if there are clients whose licenses have expired or are about to expire.
5.3.2. Renewing clients’ licenses Once you have identified the clients that need to have their licenses renewed and agreed to the
renewal terms with them, you just have to renew them through the console.
To do this, you simply have to assign them the required number of licenses through the
aforementioned license assignment process.
Licenses should be renewed on their expiration date. Leaving it for later may pose serious security risks to the client as their protection will be out‐of‐date for some time, whereas renewing them prior to expiration means a waste of the license period (if, for example, the licenses are renewed 7 days before their expiration date, you will be wasting 7 service days).
46
5.3.3. Autorenewal of clients’ licenses Panda Cloud Partner Center lets you renew clients’ licenses automatically by selecting clients whose
licenses will be automatically renewed at the time of expiration.
This time‐saving feature simplifies license renewal. Moreover, clients whose licenses are renewed
automatically can be sure that their protection will always be enabled and up to date.
Use the option in the console that allows you to select clients with ‘auto‐renewable’ subscriptions.
The renewed licenses will be deducted from your stock of licenses.
Selecting clients with auto-renewable subscriptions
Select the type and period of licenses that you want to renew automatically for each client. To do
this, click the “Automatic renewal of licenses” option in the Clients menu.
Client with Panda Cloud Email Protection licenses
The auto‐renewal feature will not be available for clients with no licenses assigned
47
48
Clients with NON auto-renewable subscriptions
If a client does not have licenses for a certain product, for example Panda Cloud Office Protection, the
licenses evidently cannot be renewed for such a product. This would simply count as licenses for a
new product. These clients are displayed in the list of clients with the text “Not available”.
If a client has trial licenses for a certain product, these licenses cannot be renewed automatically,
that is, only Release (commercial) licenses can be renewed. Clients with trial licenses will appear in
the list of clients with the text “Not available”.
Auto-renewal process
You can renew clients’ licenses automatically provided you have sufficient stock of licenses of the
corresponding type and period to perform the auto‐renewal. In that case:
The client will be assigned the corresponding number of licenses (of the relevant type and period).
The corresponding amount of licenses will be deducted from your stock.
The client will see their new licenses in their Panda Cloud Office Protection Web console.
You will see the clients’ new licenses and their expiration date in your Panda Cloud Partner Center console.
Finally, you will see information about the licenses assigned in the license assignment history. For more details, refer to the “License assignment history” section.
If you have insufficient stock of licenses of the corresponding type and period to perform the auto‐
renewal:
The licenses will not be assigned to the client.
The licenses will not be deducted from your stock.
An error notification will be displayed.
Console notifications regarding auto-renewal failures
The usual cause of failure will be that you do not have enough licenses in stock.
In that case, a message will be displayed on the Status screen warning of the number of failed
renewals. This way, you will be aware of the errors and can take the necessary action (purchase
licenses, etc.).
If an error occurs in the auto‐renewal process, you will see the following warning in the console: “XX
errors during automatic renewal. More information”.
Clicking “More information” will open an Excel with information about renewals with errors.
These errors are displayed in the console for 30 days.
If automatic renewal fails because you do not have enough licenses and then purchase additional licenses (pool format), the licenses will not be automatically assigned to the client. You willl have to do it manually.
The following image shows an example of auto‐renewal errors on the Status screen:
49
5.3.4. What happens if a client with PCSM (managed) services doesn’t renew their subscription?
Let’s imagine the following scenario: An MSP has multiple clients with Panda Cloud Systems
Management contracted, and manages all of them centrally from their single Panda Cloud Systems
Management console.
The partner’s Panda Cloud Systems Management console will show as many licenses as the sum of
licenses of all their managed clients. Now, if client ‘X’ doesn’t renew their licenses, the Panda Cloud
Systems Management console used by the partner to manage all of their clients will not disable the
licenses belonging to the devices managed by client ‘X’, but others, which will appear as ‘offline’
(more specifically, the last ones to connect to Panda Cloud Systems Management on that day). This is
the way Panda Cloud Systems Management works when there are insufficient licenses for all the
devices that have the Panda Cloud Systems Management agent installed.
Steps to be taken by the MSP if a client doesn’t renew their Panda Cloud Systems Management subscription If a client doesn’t renew or cancels their Panda Cloud Systems Management (managed) licenses, the
MSP must take the following steps:
1. Access the Panda Cloud Systems Management console from which they manage the service of all their Panda Cloud Systems Management clients.
2. Access the profile of the client that has canceled or hasn’t renewed their Panda Cloud Systems Management service.
3. Select all computers in the client’s profile and click ‘X’ to delete them.
50
If they don’t do this, the MSP will have in their Panda Cloud Systems Management console fewer
available licenses than the number of devices to manage. Consequently, they won’t provide the
service to some devices of clients who are paying for it.
Panda Cloud Systems Management provides service to the first N devices that connect to it, where
N is the number of purchased licenses, that is, the sum of all the licenses purchased by all
managed clients.
In the case of clients with Panda Cloud Systems Management (managed) licenses, it is advisable to
use the ‘Comments’ field to associate the client with the Profile used for that client in Panda Cloud
Systems Management.
This way, if the client DOESN’T renew their Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses, it will be
possible to quickly identify their computers in the Panda Cloud Systems Management console,
through their Profile.
5.4. Canceling service subscriptions Panda Cloud Partner Center allows you to delete clients and their services.
When you delete a client or their services, you will be able to recover the client’s licenses based on
the amount of time left on their contract.
That is, if a client has 10 1‐year licenses, and you delete it six months into their contract, you will
recover 5 1‐year licenses which will be transferred to your license pool.
This is very helpful if you sell a subscription service to your clients, as you will be able to easily delete
the client or their service in the event that the client cancels their subscription.
It is also very helpful in order to delete clients with trial versions that are no longer interested in a
product. The ability to delete clients will allow you to keep in your console only those clients who
really are interested in a product or have commercial licenses of a product.
If you delete a client, it will be immediately removed from your Panda Cloud Partner Center console
but it won’t disappear from our ERP system (INDA). This way, if they become a Panda client again at a
later date, it won’t be necessary to create the client’s account again from scratch.
51
The feature to delete clients/services and recover their licenses allows partners to sell
subscription services to clients more easily.
In this case the auto‐renewal feature becomes especially handy for partners, as it allows
you to forget about clients’ renewals and simplifies your business.
The feature to delete clients/services is NOT available for Panda Cloud Email Protection,
Panda Cloud Internet Protection and Panda Cloud Protection.
From the very moment a client cancels their Panda Cloud Office Protection or Panda
Cloud Office Protection Advanced subscription, their endpoints will stop having their virus
signature files updated. Also, their endpoints will stop connecting to the Collective
Intelligence platform, so they will be left unprotected.
Finally, clients who have some of their services (Panda Cloud Office Protection, Panda Cloud Office
Protection Advanced or Panda Cloud Systems Management) deleted, will not be able to access the
relevant console from the moment the service is canceled. Obviously, if a service is canceled there
will be no grace period.
52
5.4.1. Deleting clients with commercial licenses To delete a client, you must go to the ‘Client details’ screen. A button in the upper right corner will
allow you to delete the client and all the services they have purchased, recovering the client’s
licenses based on the amount of time left on their contract. Recovered licenses will be transferred to
your license pool.
As the Panda Cloud Email Protection, Panda Cloud Internet Protection and Panda Cloud
Protection services CANNOT be canceled, the ‘Delete’ button won’t be available for those
services.
Clients with commercial licenses of Panda Cloud Email Protection, Panda Cloud Internet
Protection or Panda Cloud Protection CANNOT be deleted. The ‘Delete client’ button will
be grayed out.
53
If you click the ‘Delete client’ button, the following message will be displayed:
How is the number of recovered licenses calculated? As previously said, after deleting a client, you will recover a number of licenses based on the amount
of time left on the client’s contract.
However, to fix mistakes assigning licenses, if you delete a client during the first 7 days of licensing,
you will be able to recover all of their licenses, which will then be returned to your license pool.
Example: Client ‘X’ is assigned by mistake 15 1‐year licenses of PCOP on day ‘Y’. If, 3 days later, you
decide to delete the client, you will recover the 15 1‐year licenses of PCOP, which will be transferred
to your license pool.
However, after the first week of licensing, the licenses to recover will be calculated based on the
amount of time left on the client’s contract.
Example: You offer a subscription service to your clients. Client ‘X’ is assigned 20 1‐year licenses of
PCOP on day ‘Y’. Five months (150 days) later, the client decides to cancel their service subscription.
The number of licenses to be returned to your license pool will be calculated as follows:
Number of licenses = (No. of days left on the contract * No. of licenses) / (365 * license duration
(years))
54
In this example, the number of days left on the contract is 215 (365 – 150).
Thus, the licenses to recover will be: (215 * 20) / (365 * 1) = 11.78.
Even though decimals cannot be translated into licenses and reassigned to another client, you can
accumulate them until their value reaches that of a full license. That is, decimals are not lost, but are
saved for later use in the event you delete other clients or services.
The screen displayed when deleting a service will show recovered licenses with decimals.
55
From the moment you delete a client or a service, you will see licenses with decimals in your license
pool.
It is important to note that recovered licenses will have the same duration as the licenses that were
originally assigned to the client; that is, if the client had 3‐year licenses, the licenses you recover will
have a 3‐year duration.
Example: Client ‘X’ is assigned 10 3‐year licenses of PCOP on day ‘Y’. Eight months (244 days) later,
the client decides to cancel their service subscription.
In this case, the number of days left on the contract is 365 * 3 – 244 = 851.
Licenses to recover = (851 * 10) / (365 * 3) = 7.77
That is, the number of licenses to be returned to your license pool will be 7.77 3‐year licenses.
56
What happens if the client has multiple license contracts If a client has multiple license contracts, the licenses to recover will be the sum of the licenses to
recover in each contract.
Example: Client ‘X’ has the following license contracts:
1. 5 3‐year licenses of PCOP expiring on Jan 15, 2015. 2. 2 3‐year licenses of PCOP expiring on Aug 25, 2015.
The client is deleted on April 16, 2013.
The number of days left on contract #1 will be Jan 15, 2015 ‐ April 16, 2013 = 639
The number of days left on contract #2 will be Aug 25, 2015 ‐ April 16, 2013 = 859
Licenses to recover = ((639* 5) + (859* 2) / (365 * 3) = 4.48
That is, the number of licenses to be returned to your license pool will be 4.48 3‐year licenses.
5.4.2. Assigning licenses to a client without active services You can assign commercial licenses to clients without active services, for example, clients you have
just deleted.
57
58
This will allow you to:
1. Reduce the number of licenses clients currently have.
2. Align the expiration dates of the various license contracts a client may have.
How to reduce the number of licenses of an existing client If you wish to reduce a client’s licenses from ‘Y‘ to ‘X’, you must take the following steps:
1. Delete the client’s service. You will recover a number of licenses, which will be transferred to your license pool (depending on the time left on the client’s contract).
2. Assign the client the ‘X’ licenses they need.
The ‘X’ licenses will have a duration of 1, 2 or 3 years, as appropriate.
How to align the expiration dates of a client’s license contracts If you want to align the expiration dates of a client’s multiple license contracts, you must take the
following steps:
1. Delete the client’s service, recovering ‘X’ licenses which will be transferred to your license pool. As always, the number of recovered licenses will depend on the time left on the client’s contracts.
2. Assign the client the ‘Y’ licenses they need, all with the same expiration date.
The ‘Y’ licenses will have a duration of 1, 2 or 3 years, as appropriate.
You will invoice the client for the following licenses:
Licenses = ‘Y’ assigned licenses – ‘X’ licenses returned to the pool when deleting the service
5.4.3. Deleting clients with trial licenses If you delete a client who had trial licenses, you won’t recover any licenses. The client will simply
disappear from the Panda Cloud Partner Center console.
If you delete a client with trial licenses, a message requesting confirmation will be displayed.
5.4.4. Canceling service subscriptions Let’s imagine the following scenario: A client purchases several services (that is, they have licenses of
Panda Cloud Office Protection, Panda Cloud Systems Management and Panda Cloud Email
Protection), and after some time they decide to cancel their subscription to some of those services,
but not all.
In this case, instead of deleting the client, you must delete the services whose subscription the client
wants to cancel.
To do this, you will have to access the client’s ‘Client details’ page and delete the service(s) whose
subscription the client wants to cancel.
If you delete a service with commercial licenses, you will be able to recover some or all of them, as
explained in section How is the number of recovered licenses calculated?
These licenses will be transferred to your license pool.
59
When deleting a service with commercial licenses, the following confirmation message will be
displayed.
However, if you delete a service with trial licenses, you won’t recover any licenses.
In any event, a confirmation message will be displayed.
5.4.5. Conditions and permissions required to cancel services
Conditions First, as previously said, you can cancel Panda Cloud Office Protection, Panda Cloud Office Protection
Advanced and Panda Cloud Systems Management services, but you CANNOT cancel Panda Cloud
Email Protection, Panda Cloud Internet Protection or Panda Cloud Protection services.
In the latter case, the ‘Delete’ button will be disabled.
60
Required permissions Both to delete clients and cancel a client’s services, you must have Total Control or License and
Security Administrator permissions.
Therefore, users with Security Admininistrator or Monitoring (read only) permissions WON’T be able
to delete clients or cancel their services.
5.4.6. What happens if a client with Panda Cloud Systems Management (managed) licenses cancels their subscription?
Let’s imagine the following scenario: An MSP has multiple clients with Panda Cloud Systems
Management contracted, and manages all of them centrally from a single Panda Cloud Systems
Management console.
The partner’s Panda Cloud Systems Management console will show as many licenses as the sum of
licenses of all their managed clients.
Now, if client ‘X’ cancels their Panda Cloud Systems Management subscription, the Panda Cloud
If a client cancels their Panda Cloud Systems Management subscription, the MSP wil have to delete,
from the Panda Cloud Systems Management console from which they manage all of their clients, the
computers of the client who canceled their subscription.
For more information, refer to section “What happens if a client with PCSM (managed) services
doesn’t renew their subscription?”
61
5.5. Information about the services purchased by clients
5.5.1. How to identify clients that need more licenses The color of the ‘Used licenses’ field will turn red if the client uses more licenses than those
purchased. To give clients time to place the relevant order, they will be allowed to use 5% more
licenses than those purchased. For example, a client with 20 purchased licenses will be allowed to use
21.
5.5.2. Information about the services purchased by clients Partner Center offers you detailed information about the services purchased by each client on the
‘Client details’ page, accessible by clicking on the client’s name.
62
63
This page will display a summary of the licenses purchased by the client:
In the case of Panda Cloud Office Protection and Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced:
If there are unused licenses, the text “(X not used)” will be displayed
If there are computers without a license either because they have been automatically blacklisted or because the client is using more licenses than those purchased, the text “(Y computers without a license)” will be displayed
If you click the line with the service information, the following data will be displayed:
Number of licenses
License duration: 1 year, 2 years, 3 years or 30 days
Expiration date
Detailed information about computers without a license In the case of Panda Cloud Office Protection and Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced, warning
messages will be displayed under the following circumstances:
1. The client has insufficient licenses and some of their computers have been blacklisted.
2. The client is using more licenses than those purchased (clients are allowed to use 5% more licenses than those purchased to give them time to place the relevant order).
In the above cases, you will see a message with a warning icon indicating the number of licenses that
must be purchased for the client not to have unprotected computers (case 1) or use more licenses
than those purchased (case 2).
5.6. Clients whose licenses have expired Once all licenses have expired, the product will behave as follows:
Bear in mind that there is a 15‐day grace period for those cases where licenses could not be renewed
in time. During the grace period the product will behave exactly as it did when the license was active,
that is, it will have full functionality.
Below is a description of how the product behaves once all licenses have expired, where X is the day
that licenses expire:
15‐day grace period (day X to X+15). During this period: o The client’s console can be accessed via SSO (Single Sign‐On). o The services remain active, that is, computers will continue to receive the latest security
updates. o If the licenses are renewed during this period, no other actions will be necessary.
15 days after the grace period (day X+16 to X+30). During this period: o There won’t be SSO (Single Sign‐On) access to the client’s console. o Services are no longer active and computers will stop receiving protection updates. This
greatly increases the risk of infection. o If the licenses are renewed during this period, no other actions will be necessary. The
computers will start updating again.
31 days after the expiration date and up to day 90 (day X+31 to X+90). During this period: o There won’t be SSO (Single Sign‐On) access to the client’s console. o Services are no longer active and computers will stop receiving protection updates. This
greatly increases the risk of infection. o If the licenses are renewed during this period, the computers will be reintegrated into the
console and will update automatically again. However, they will start doing so 1 to 5 days after license renewal.
90 days after the licenses expire, the account is eliminated from our database, and all profiles, groups and settings will disappear from the console. They will have to be configured again.
Renew licenses in time! Once the services stop being active the protection will NOT update, and the risk of infection will grow exponentially with each passing day.
If you renew your clients’ licenses 31 days (or later) after the expiration date, the computers will be reintegrated into the console 1 to 5 days after license renewal. If you need the reintegration process to be immediate, you must run a specific tool on all of your clients’ computers. Contact our Support Department for more information.
64
65
5.7. Auto-assignment of clients’ licenses This feature is particularly helpful if you prefer to invoice your clients after use, in accordance with
the number of licenses they have used, rather than beforehand, in accordance with the licenses
contracted. In this case you will not have to manually assign the licenses required by your clients, but
they will be assigned automatically.
Panda Cloud Partner Center lets you select clients who will be allowed to make as many installations
as they want, even if they do not have sufficient licenses. From now on, we shall refer to these clients
as clients with “auto‐assignable” licenses.
Clients with auto‐assignable licenses can install the protection on as many computers as they want
without having to contact you to have the corresponding licenses assigned to them. Afterwards, you
will contact them to invoice them for the licenses used. You will be able to see the licenses used by
your clients through the “License assignment history” in the Web console.
Selecting clients with auto-assignable licenses
Select the clients that you want to have auto‐assignable licenses. Only Panda Cloud Office Protection
licenses can be assigned automatically. You must also select the license period:
Panda Cloud Office Protection, 1 year. Panda Cloud Office Protection, 2 years. Panda Cloud Office Protection, 3 years.
Clients with NON auto-assignable licenses
Licenses cannot be automatically assigned to the following clients:
Clients who do not have Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses. These clients will not even be displayed in the list of clients available for automatic assignment.
Clients who have a trial version of Panda Cloud Office Protection. These clients will be displayed in the list of clients, but they cannot be automatically assigned any type of license. They will appear as “Not available”.
Auto-assignment process
This process is automatic. A process is launched that calculates the number of installations from
clients with auto‐assignable licenses, and the number of licenses is registered in the system.
If you have sufficient licenses available (Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses for the period
selected), the following actions will take place:
The client is assigned the corresponding number of licenses (of the relevant type and period).
During this process, you can see in the console that there are ”XX licenses being assigned”.
The corresponding amount of licenses will be deducted from your stock.
Aftewards, the “XX licenses being assigned” message will disappear.
66
The client will see their new licenses in their Panda Cloud Office Protection Web console.
You will see the clients’ new licenses and their expiration date in your Panda Cloud Partner Center console.
Finally, you will see information about the licenses assigned in the license assignment history. For more details, refer to the “License assignment history” section.
However, if you have insufficient licenses to cover the auto‐assignment, the following actions will
take place:
The system will blacklist as many computers as extra licenses used, that is, the difference between the number of licenses purchased and the number of licenses used.
No new licenses will be assigned to the client.
No licenses will be deducted from your stock.
A notification will be displayed reporting errors in the auto‐assignment process.
Clients will not be able to manually exclude computers from the computer blacklist; This way, we prevent them from protecting computers without the necessary licenses.
Console notifications about auto-assignment failures
If the auto‐assignment process fails, the Status screen will display a notification indicating the
number of failed assignments. This way, you will be aware of the errors and can take the necessary
actions (purchase licenses, etc.).
The warning will be like this: “XX errors during automatic assignment. More information”
Clicking “More information” will open an Excel file with information about the auto‐assignment
operations with errors.
These errors will be displayed in the console for 30 days.
67
If automatic assignment fails because you do not have enough licenses, and you then purchase additional licenses, there will not be another automatic attempt to assign those licenses, that is, you must assign them manually.
5.8. License assignment history Panda Cloud Partner Center lets you view a history of all the licenses you have assigned to your
clients (either automatically or manually) for monitoring purposes. Additionally, licenses recovered
after canceling a service or deleting a client will appear in red negative numbers in the license
assignment history.
This history is accessible from the Partner Center console Status screen and displays the following
information:
Date the licenses were assigned (the list will be ordered by date, with the most recent first).
Type of licenses assigned (product).
License period.
Number of licenses assigned.
Client to whom the licenses have been assigned.
Group to which the client belongs.
68
User that assigned the licenses. If the licenses were assigned or renewed automatically, the console user that enabled the auto‐renewal or auto‐assignment option for that client will be displayed.
Assignment type: Manual / Automatic.
In this list, searches can be made for clients or client groups.
The information displayed in the license assignment history is kept for three years and three months.
You can also clear the license assignment history.

69
5.9. Importing licenses Panda Cloud Partner Center includes a function that lets you convert license packs (a .txt file with
activation keys) into license pools.
Use this feature only if your distributor or Panda sales advisor provides you with the licenses you
have purchased in a .txt file with the relevant activation keys.
Click the “Import licenses” link in the Status screen of the Partner Center console.
Then, enter the license pack that you want to import to start the process of converting these licenses
into a license pool.
The file with the licenses to import must be a .txt file (it is also valid if the .txt file is included in a .zip
file).
The .txt file must have an activation key per line. Example:
70
71
During the import process, you will see:
The number of correctly imported keys.
The number of keys for which there have been import errors. Imports can fail for the
following reasons:
o The license key is invalid.
o The license key has already been used.
o The service is not available. The key must be imported again.
o There has been an error. The key must be imported again.
The number of keys that are in the process of being assigned.
When the import process is complete, you can:
View information about correctly imported keys, keys with errors and keys in the process of
being activated.
Export ‐to Excel or CSV‐ the details of all the imported keys including keys in the process of
being imported, correctly imported keys and those with import errors. Import results are not
stored. Therefore, if you wish to see them in the future, you should export them to Excel
and/or CSV at this moment.
72
5.10. Email notifications for clients Your clients will receive emails at different times during the service lifecycle. These emails are
automatically generated and contain essential information related to the use of the product services.
These emails are divided into three groups:
1. Welcome email: Contains the login credentials for the product’s Web console.
2. Emails informing that the product services have expired or are about to expire.
3. Customer satisfaction survey.
Welcome email
This email is sent every time a new client is created or you assign new licenses to a client. It contains
the following information:
Login credentials for the product’s Web console
Number of licenses contracted
Service expiration date
Client number
Service expiration notifications
These emails are sent when the services are about to expire or have expired reminding users that
their computers will be at risk if they do not renew their services. The risk of infection grows
exponentially when the product is not up to date. These emails are sent at the following intervals:
31 days prior to expiration
15 days prior to expiration
On the expiration date
15 days after expiration
73
These emails also include the Service expiration date and the Client number
74
6. SECURITY MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT The Panda Cloud Partner Center console lets you monitor the status of all your clients in one place.
To do this, simply click the Status tab in the Monitoring section.
This screen provides the following information:
The percentage of computers where the antivirus engine or the signature file is out‐of‐date
and computers with errors, including problems that may have occurred during the protection
installation process. Click the percentage of computers with out‐of‐date protection or
signatures to go to the Updates screen (if the percentage is greater than zero).
The percentage of computers with errors does not include those computers in which an error
occurred installing the protection and therefore have not used a license.
To view all errors, go to the Error details screen:
o If the number is orange, the percentage of computers with out‐of‐date protection is
between 20 and 39 percent.
o If it is red, the percentage of computers with out‐of‐date protection exceeds 39
percent.
75
76
The status information is only displayed for clients with Panda Cloud Office Protection
licenses.
Today's detections. This information is only displayed for clients with Panda Cloud Office
Protection licenses. It shows the number of detections on the current day in:
o The file system.
o Email.
o Internet browsing.
o Instant messaging applications.
o Items blocked by the firewall.
In addition, you can export the list of clients either to Excel or CSV. Both formats include a header
which specifies the date and time when the file was created, a summary of the search criteria, and
the details of the list.
You may want to filter lists so that they only display information about certain clients depending on
the licenses they have or how close their licenses are to expiring.
Use the search tool to do this. Click Options and select the relevant search fields. Then click Search
and you will get the list of clients.
You can also monitor a group's clients by selecting it from the tree in the Groups column.
For detailed information about the security status of a particular client, click on their name or ID and
access their Web console:
If the client has Panda Cloud Office Protection licenses, you will access their Panda Cloud Office Protection console.
If the client has Panda Cloud Email Protection licenses (and doesn’t have Panda Cloud Office Protection), you will access their Panda Cloud Email Protection console.
6.1. Error details screen Click the View error details link to see a list of the errors reported by the computers of the clients
that you manage. This information will help you identify and fix your clients’ problems.
The information is presented in six columns: Computer, Client, Group, Error code, Description and
Date.
If you want to go to the help files and documentation about any of the errors that
appear in the list, click the corresponding error code.
Users with total control or security administrator permissions can delete entries from the list. To do
this, select the checkbox corresponding to the entry you want to delete and click Delete.
You can use the search tool available by default or refine the search using filters. To do this, click
Options.
Once yo have defined your search, click Find to see a list of errors. This search will be saved for later
consultation, and you can edit it or delete it whenever you want.
Exporting the list of errors The list of errors can be exported, either to Excel or CSV. Just click on the icon next to the text Export
to. Both formats include a header which specifies the date and time when the file was created, a
summary of the search criteria, and the details of the list.
77
6.2. Accessing clients’ consoles Panda Cloud Partner Center lets you access your clients’ product consoles. It is as simple as clicking
the icon located to the right of the client’s name.
6.2.1. Access permissions for MSPs (Managed Service Providers) If an MSP has a client with Panda Cloud Office Protection and Panda Cloud Systems Management
(managed) licenses and tries to access the client’s consoles from Partner Center, they will first access
Panda Cloud and, from there, they will be able to access the client’s Panda Cloud Office Protection
and Panda Cloud Systems Management consoles.
Bear in mind that:
The Panda Cloud Office Protection icon will take the MSP to the client’s Panda Cloud Office Protection console
The Panda Cloud Systems Management icon will take the MSP to the Panda Cloud Systems Management console from which they manage all of their clients with Panda Cloud Systems Management licenses.
78
If an end client with managed licenses of Panda Cloud Systems Management accesses Panda Cloud,
they will see that the Panda Cloud Systems Management icon is grayed out. These clients are not
allowed to access Panda Cloud Systems Management as, otherwise, they would be accessing the
partner’s Panda Cloud Systems Management console and could access all sorts of information about
their and other clients’ accounts. Also, given that they are subscribed to a managed service, it doesn’t
make much sense for the client to want to access the Panda Cloud Systems Management console.
To sum up, when Panda Cloud Systems Management is used by an MSP to provide managed services
to their clients, only the MSP will be able to access the Panda Cloud Systems Management console.
79
6.2.2. Access permissions for resellers If a reseller has a client with Panda Cloud Office Protection and Panda Cloud Systems Management
(unmanaged) licenses and tries to access the client’s consoles from Partner Center, they will first
access Panda Cloud. There, they will see the services the client has purchased (Panda Cloud Office
Protection and Panda Cloud Systems Management in this case). However, the reseller won’t be able
to access the client’s Panda Cloud Systems Management console.
The Panda Cloud Office Protection icon will take the reseller to the client’s Panda Cloud Office
Protection console.
However, as previously said, it will be impossible for the reseller to access Panda Cloud Systems
Management. Accessing the client’s Panda Cloud Systems Management console would give the
reseller total control over the client’s devices (PCs, servers, etc.), and would allow them to access the
information stored on those devices, so access is forbidden for confidentiality reasons.
80
7. CENTRALIZED SETTINGS Click the Settings tab in the Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console to configure the following
aspects:
These settings, which you configure through Panda Cloud Partner Center, will only affect the Panda Cloud Office Protection consoles of the clients you select.
81
7.1. Automatic updates of your clients’ protection To modify the automatic update settings of your clients’ protection, click the Settings tab in the Web
console, and then click Updates.
Select if you want to enable or disable the automatic updates by groups or by configuration profiles.
Select, in the Groups tree, the group that you want to configure updates for. The right‐hand pane will
show the names of the clients that comprise it. Select or clear the relevant boxes to update the
protection or the signatures.
If you want to enable the automatic updates of the protection and the signatures for clients
individually, select By configuration profile.
If you want to enable automatic updates globally for certain client groups, select By group.
Users with Monitoring permission cannot edit the update settings.
82
7.2. Default language of your clients’ protection To specify the default language of your clients' protection, click the Settings tab in the Web console,
and then click Language.
Select a language from the drop‐down menu and the clients to apply the selected language to. Then,
select the client profiles to apply the selected language to.
There are two options: First, the language change only affects the Default profile for new clients;
Secondly, the language change affects all profiles created so far and the Default profile for new
clients.
7.3. Personalizing your clients’ Web console and protection You can personalize your clients' administration console and computer protection. You can also set
the scope of the personalization, so that it either affects your entire client hierarchy or just end
clients.
These settings will only affect the Panda Cloud Office Protection and Panda Cloud Office Protection
Advanced consoles. They won't affect the other cloud‐based security solutions.
To use this feature, click the Settings tab in the Web console, and then Service personalization.
You can also select if you want to display your organization’s logo in your clients’ Panda Cloud Office
Protection or Panda Cloud Office Protection Advanced consoles and in the scheduled reports that you
83
generate for them. Additionally, you can personalize the name and image (icon) of your clients’
protection, removing all references to Panda Security.
The logo used to personalize your client’s consoles can have the following formats: JPG, .JPEG or
.PNG. .PNG files support transparency, so if you want to use this feature to customize your clients’
consoles you can now do so.
7.4. Copying configuration profiles from one client to another
You can select a client’s profile and assign it to multiple clients, thus avoiding the need to generate it
again for each client.
This feature saves you time and effort in establishing settings for multiple clients.
First, select the profile to assign, and then select the clients or client groups to which you want to
apply the selected profile. Finally, copy it.
You may find that the name of the profile which you want to copy coincides with that of another
profile belonging to one of your clients. In this case you must specify what action to take:
Create a copy of the profile with a different name.
Overwrite the existing profile with the new one.
Not make the copy.
84
8. CONFIGURING YOUR CONSOLE Click the Preferences option to configure general aspects of the Panda Cloud Partner Center Web
console.

9. REPORTS The Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console lets you generate different types of reports. All of them
give information about the security status of your clients' IT network and the items detected over a
given period of time.
In addition, you can schedule the frequency with which these reports will be sent and specify their
content and time of sending. The actions you can take on reports will depend on the types of
permissions that you have.
There are four different types of reports:
4. Executive report.
Includes a summary of the license status, the protection installed and the items detected
over the last 24 hours. Also, it includes Top 10 lists of computers with malware detected and
attacks blocked, respectively.
5. Extended executive report.
This is an executive report with information about multiple clients or groups of clients.
It includes the following information:
o License status.
o Protection status.
o Detection activity.
o Top 10 clients and computers with:
– Malware detected
– Attacks blocked
o List of clients with outdated protection.
6. Status report.
Gives an overview of the protection status and update level at the time of report generation.
7. Detection report.
Describes the detections made in the period of time described in Frequency. It gives
information about the computer, group, type of detection, action and date when the
detection took place.
9.1. Sending reports Schedule the sending of reports to be able to send them. To do this, select the type of report, its
contents and the time of sending. You can also select the client the report will refer to and the
recipient.
First, select the corporate logo to appear in the bottom left corner of the report. Use the Change
button if you want to select a different logo. If you don't want a logo to appear, click Delete.
In the Reports screen, click Schedule sending of reports.
9.2. Report schedule details In this section you can specify the name of the report sending task, the creation date and the
frequency. You will also see the name of the user that created the task.
9.3. Report frequency There are four different types of reports:
87
1. Daily report: Contains information corresponding to the specified day.
2. Weekly report: Contains information from the last seven days. If the day established for
sending reports is Sunday, data will be included from 00:00 on the previous Sunday until the
time the report is generated on the current Sunday.
3. Monthly report: You cannot generate sending tasks for the 30th or 31st of the month. If, for
example, you select the 15th of the month, the report generated will include data from 00:00
on the 15th of the previous month until the specified time on the 15th of the current month.
4. First of the month report: In this case you cannot select a specific day, as the report will
always be sent on the first of the month. The report will contain data corresponding to the
complete previous month.
Send reports to your clients periodically to show them the value provided by the solution.
Scheduled reports are particularly suitable for partners who present information to clients through a Web portal. You can receive XML formatted reports periodically and extract the information that you want to publish on your portal.
9.4. Report details The Report details section lets you select the type of report, its content and format. You can also
select the language of the report and the logo which will be included at the bottom‐right corner. You
can also specify the client or group the report will be generated for.
9.5. Message details The message will be sent automatically according to your schedule, to the recipients and with the
subject specified in the settings.
There is a limit to the total number of report sending tasks. To calculate it, multiply the number of different types of reports (3) by the number of managed clients.
88
10. PARTNER MANAGEMENT
10.1. Users and permissions
10.1.1. Default user The first time that you log in to the console you will use the default user sent to you in the welcome

clients' license assignment history.
4. View the licenses imported by other users (through the Import licenses link in the Status
screen).
Regarding report management
View scheduled tasks to send extended executive reports to the clients over which they have
permissions.
10.3. Support for N levels of partners The Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console lets you manage N levels of partners. At the first level
is the distributor that buys licenses and distributes them to the next level: the partners who manage
their clients through the Panda Cloud Partner Center Web console.
A distributor that buys a certain number of licenses to distribute them among 10 resellers, for
example, has the following options:
1. Buy N licenses in the old ‘license pack’ format and distribute them among its resellers. Each reseller then would have to import their licenses using the Panda Cloud Partner Center console so that they become new licenses (in the ‘license pool’ format).
2. Place as many orders for new licenses with Panda Security as the number of resellers they have; that is, place 10 orders for N licenses (‘license pool’ format) for each reseller, so that the corresponding licenses are assigned to each reseller in their Partner Center console.
That is, it is not the distributor that directly uses Panda Cloud Partner Center, but its resellers.
If you have any questions, contact your distributor or your Panda Security sales advisor.
94
