How can I make you happy, how can I give you love

There are many ways to help others, make people smile and give them love.

Throughout the school year, we did many activities with our students and we have realized that there were small things or gestures that made a big difference in our students’ and their families’ lives.

Our students have also realized that they have an important role in society and that, sometimes, they want things and they try to manipulate their parents in order to have those things. They need to buy things, they are used to have things and they have great difficulties when they have to offer or give.

With our project, we tried to make them understand that there are others values that are also important like offering, giving, supporting, helping and making different...

We have also worked with them the problem of the refugees, how we could help them and talked about what they have suffered and what are their goals.

We tried them to understand that we have to respect others in order to be respected, that we can help our classmates with small things, that we can donate things that I have to others and that we can give love to others making good actions.

This idea of having things in order to be happy was replaced by the idea that I’m happier when I give things to others and when I help them.

In order to understand the value of offering, children adopted their grandparents. They had the opportunity to share personal interests, talked about different subjects, played games, told stories, did some art work and learned about their family history.

Then, they had the chance to share their experiences with their new friends and finally, they have adopted a grandparent from the exchange country and interacted with him/her and offered their ways to make him/her happy and offered him/her love.

This guide ebook is the final product of the project, where children have cooperated in order to make a book with all the actions that they made.

Can you help me? I want to learn how to work with computers.

- Mario could try to learn how to work with the computer and then, teach her grandmother;

- We could help Marios’ grandmother when she had doubts. She could send what she wanted to learn and then we could teach her how she could do it;

- We could make some tutorials or videos explaining how to use computers. She could see them and learn how to do it;

- We could teach her through Skype;

- The grandmother could go to school and learn with students that know how to use the computer;

- You could organize a grandparents’ meeting and other grandmothers or grandparents could teach others how to use computers or other things;

- She could buy a book.

How can I learn to read and write?

- You can bring a teacher at home or ask Mr. João to help you;

- You can go to a doctor to fix your heart and then go to school;

- You can ask Matilde to help you;

- You can do e lessons;

- We made an e lesson for you.

We can teach others how to sing
