GUARDING DIVISION
Protective Force recognises the fact that never before in South African history, has the

since 1989, so we know a thing or two about keeping you safe.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURES
At protective Force we believe that the quality of our workforce is a direct reflection of us as
a security provider. For this reason our potential staff members have to undergo very strict
procedures before they are considered for employment.
These procedures include:
PSIRA registration verification
Criminal background check
Re-training of their current grade in our on-site training
centre
Pre-employment polygraph tests
TRAINING
We pride ourselves in being the biggest privately owned security company in the South of
Johannesburg with our own training centre. All security personnel employed by Protective
Force receive comprehensive training. This training includes:
Re-training of guards up to the highest standards as
recognised by SIRA (Grades D to A) in our own in-
house training centre
Constant on-site training sessions
IDENTIFICATION OF SECURITY OFFICERS
The following information is available for each security officer employed by Protective
Force:
Copy of security officer’s ID card
Copy of D.O.B. certificate
Copy of training certificate
Residential address
Copy of identification document
Company employee number
Pre-employment polygraph result

ACTIVE GUARD Protective Force Security prides itself in always being up to date with the latest technology
available in the market in all of its divisions.
The Active Guard patrol system is obviously one of the most important tools that any security
company can use to monitor its guards.
These systems are active systems in the sense that the guards get monitored live. All patrols
are instantly relayed to a computer and the controller can communicate with them via the cell
phone-based system.
CONTROL CENTRE AND OFF-SITE MANAGEMENT
Our state of the art 24 hour manned control centre is designed to fit the requirements of
SAIDSA specifications and consists of the latest technology to uphold the highest possible
service level.
MEDIUM SIZED SECURITY PROVIDER
The owner and founder of Protective Force, Eugene Jacobs, started the company back in
1989 by patrolling the streets of Brackenhurst on his bicycle. The company has since then
grown into a formidable force in the security industry.
Because Protective Force is a medium sized security provider, we are able to live out our
hands-on approach to business. For this reason, all management staff at Protective Force can
be reached 24 hours a day.
NATIONWIDE SERVICE PROVIDER
Protective Force is a nationwide service provider and operates in Johannesburg, Pretoria,
Isando, Cape Town and Durban.

Protective Force was awarded full Corporate with Armed Reaction
Membership status of the South African Intruder Detection Services
Association (SAIDSA). Therefore our company is approved for Alarm
Installation; CCTV Installations; Alarm Monitoring; CCTV Monitoring
and Armed Reaction.
