HOW TO T IE A BOW-T IE The bow-tie is the most classic of all ties. Lift shirt collar. Place bow-tie around collar and have both sides hang side-by-side with both ends at the bottom parallel with one another. 1 Cross the right end over the left end. 2 Loop the right end that you crossed over, under and over the left, using the top center button of your shirt as your center point, so that both ends are resting directly above each other with the ends parallel at the bottom. 3 To begin to form the bow-tie, take the end in the back and position it horizontally in front of the end that was hanging in the front. 4 Take the front end and with your thumb, gently guide it through the hole in the back to finish forming the bow-tie. 6 www.gentiluomo.ca Take the end hanging in the back and center it over the front end. Pinch both ends in the center with your index finger and thumb to hold in place. 5 Pull gently on the inside and outside ends to straighten the bow-tie into place. Bring your shirt collar down and tuck it into place underneath the ends of the bow-tie. 7 DONE! To untie, simply pull the single ends. 8 Note: This diagram is a mirror image, so you can tape this to your mirror to help simplify the process.

HOW TO TIE A BOW-TIEThe bow-tie is the most classic of all ties.

Lift shirt collar.

Place bow-tie

around collar and

have both sides

hang side-by-side

with both ends at

the bottom parallel

with one another.
