An astounding installation is arriving at the MPPP Town Hall area by Indonesian sculptural artist Joko Avianto. This will be the most photographed installations in the Festival and will be unveiled on 7 June.

A one-night performance of most famous classical music presented by I Musici, the oldest chamber music group in Italy. It is great honor for us present this world-class act here in Penang! Tickets are now on sale on RedTix!

This site-specific project is GTF’s second venture into public installations that capture the spirit and living heritage of George Town and Penang. It is supported by the city council, Think City’s cultural mapping grant, artists, landscape gardeners and local residents.

Liuligongfang founders Loretta Yang and Chang Yi are exhibiting their latest Liuli art creations here in Penang, Malaysia. We warmly welcome the duo following their tour starting from Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the National Art Musuem of China.

A collection of gold-thread embroidery by Tiao Nithakhong Somsanith, a direct descendent of the Royal House of Luang Prabang, Laos. The artist-embroider will also hold a demonstrative workshop on traditional Laotian stencil art on 9 June.

Strange Paradise presents ten new works by Anurendra Jegadeva and revisits three of his major works (Portrait of My Mother as the Queen, An Alphabet for the Middle-aged, Middle Classes and This Is Where We Live). Anu, one of Malaysia’s foremost contemporary artists, will also launch a book produced collaboratively with writer Rahel Joseph.

A pop-up retail and art showcase from Singapore: Books Actually, The Gentleman’s Press, Monster Gallery, Sarah and Schooling, a film installation, an art exhibition from LASALLE College of the Arts, and the multi-brand independent retail showcase Keepers Goes to George Town with: Ling Wu Bags, Priscilla Ong Shumugan, Carrie K, Artisan Jewellery Edypoi Timepieces and the multidisplinary creative collective IEX.

A seven hour feast celebrating the heritage of of Penang Malays: Jawi Peranakan, Indian-Muslim, Middle Eastern, Arabian, European Muslim, Indonesian and Chinese Muslims represented by local associations and small-scale women enterprises in Penang.
