Use the (C) button to navigate betweenmodes. To enter the Control Mode, holddown (B) for about 0.5 seconds.* When the watch enters the Control
Mode, it will establish a connectionwith the phone and the Bluetoothindicator will appear on its display.

Using the Rotary SwitchRotate the rotary switch to changesettings.
● Rotating the rotary switch quickly threetimes starts a fast forward or fastreverse operation. To stop a fastforward or fast reverse operation,rotate the rotary switch in the oppositedirection or press any button.
Important!
● Rotate the rotary switch withoutpulling it out. Pulling with strongforce can cause malfunction ordamage.
● To prevent error, the firstrotation performs no operation.Keep rotating to perform thedesired operation. Errorprevention re-activates aboutthree minutes after the lastoperation.
Shifting the HandsHour and minute hand shift moves thehands for easy viewing of display info.1. To shift the hour and minute hands,
hold down (L) as you press (C).● This will cause the hour and minute
hands to move to a position wherethey do not block the digitaldisplay.
● The HANDS indicator flasheswhile the hands are shifted.

2. To return the hands to their normalpositions, holding down (L) as youpress (C) again.
Note
● This function can be used in anymode.
● Watch button operations remainthe same when the hands areshifted.
● Changing to another modereturns the hands to their normalpositions.
● Shifted hands will return to theirnormal positions if no buttonoperation is performed for onehour.
● In all modes, hands shiftautomatically while settings arebeing configured. They moveback to their normal positionsafter settings are complete.

Using Mobile Link with aMobile Phone
While there is a Bluetooth connectionbetween the watch and phone, the watchtime setting is adjusted automatically andyou can perform music app operationsfrom the watch.

B Configuring Bluetooth settingsEnable the phone’s Bluetooth.
iPhone Users
1. Y On the Home Screen, tap“Settings” n “Bluetooth”.
2. Y Enable “Bluetooth”.
3. Y Tap “Settings” to return to the“Settings” screen.
4. Y Tap in the following sequence:“Privacy” n “Bluetooth Sharing”.
5. Y Enable “G-SHOCK+”.
Android UsersEnable Bluetooth.● If you are presented with a choice
between “Bluetooth” and “BluetoothSmart”, select “Bluetooth Smart”.

C Pairing the watch with a phoneBefore you can use the watch incombination with a phone, you first needto pair them. Once the watch is pairedwith a phone, you normally do not needto pair them again.1. Move the phone you want to pair with
close to (within one meter of) thewatch.
2. Y On the Home Screen, tap the “G-SHOCK+” icon.
● If G’MIX App is not installed on thephone, the G’MIX App installationscreen will appear. Follow theinstructions that appear to installthe app.
3. Y Select “GBA-400” and then tap“Next”.
4. Y Perform operations as instructedby the app.
● If a pairing prompt messageappears, perform the operationshown on the phone screen.
● After pairing is complete, theBluetooth indicator will appear onthe watch to indicate it isconnected with the phone.

Auto Time AdjustmentThe watch can be set to adjust its timesetting automatically each day inaccordance with the phone time.
● Using Auto AdjustSchedule auto adjust for times the watchand phone are normally close to eachother as shown in the illustration below.● While you sleep at night

Important!
● Even if there is no Bluetoothconnection when the auto adjusttime is reached, a connection isestablished and adjustment isperformed automatically. Theconnection is automaticallyterminated after timeadjustment is complete.
● The watch adjusts its timesetting automatically inaccordance with the phone timewhile they are connected witheach other.

the phone screen.

● Actual adjustment of the watchtime setting will occur about 30seconds after the auto adjusttime.Example: When 22:00 is set asthe auto adjust time, watch timesetting adjustment will start 30seconds after 22:00.
● If time adjustment fails for somereason, the watch will beep. Ifthis happens, move the watchand phone close to each other.
Music App OperationsThe CASIO G’MIX App music apprunning on your phone can be controlledfrom your watch.

● G’MIX App provides threemodes for enjoying music.
● PLAYER ModeThis mode lets you adjust sound qualityand ambiance and playback music fromyour phone’s music library.
● SEARCH ModeWhen there is music playing in your area,you can use this mode to find out its title.
● SOUNDER ModeUse this mode to perform watchoperations for playing G’MIX App built-insounds or sounds you have createdyourself.
● Installing the G’MIX AppTo use the functions described aboveyou need to install G’MIX App on yourphone as described below.1. Y Tap the “G-SHOCK+” icon.
This displays “Searching forwatch...”.
2. Y Hold down the (B) button for about0.5 seconds.
3. Y Tap “Music App settings”.Perform the operation shown on thephone screen.
● Using G’MIX AppThere must be a connection between thewatch and phone to use G'MIX App.Perform the operation below.1. Y On the Home Screen, tap the “G-

● With G’MIX App, you can assignthe following functions to therotary switch:volume level, select track, selectalbum, select artist, selectplaylist, select effect, selectSOUNDER sound.
● In the case of an iPhone, youcan control G’MIX App or thestandard iPhone Music appfrom the watch. If you want tocontrol the standard iPhoneMusic app from the watch,perform the procedure below.1. Remove G’MIX App from thephone.2. On the G-SHOCK+ topscreen, tap: “Music Appsettings” n “Music”.
● Certain music file types may notbe supported for playback withG’MIX App.
Song Title SearchWhen there is music playing in your area,you can use Song Title Search to find outits title.
Important!
● Your phone needs to have theCASIO G’MIX App music appinstalled to use this functions.l Music App Operations
Perform the procedure below when thereis no connection between the watch anda phone.
1. X If the watch is connected with aphone, hold down (B) for about 0.5seconds to terminate the connection.
2. X On the watch, enter theTimekeeping Mode and then quicklyrotate the rotary switch twice.This will cause [SEARCH] to appearon the display, indicating that searchhas started.● If the song title search is
successful, the song title willappear on the watch display.

3. X Press any button other than (L) toclear the song title from the display.

● The displayed song title can beup to 17 alpha characters(letters, numbers, symbols) orfive Japanese (katakana)characters long.
● [*CHECK App] will appear ifcharacters that are notsupported for display areincluded or if there are multipletitles for the song. If thishappens, use your phone tocheck the song title.
● [*FAILED] will appear if the songtitle cannot be found.
● This function is available onlywhile G-SHOCK+ and G’MIXApp are running on the phone.
Phone FinderYou can use phone finder to trigger atone on the phone to make it easy to find.The tone is forced to sound even if thephone is in the manner mode.● This function is available only while G-
SHOCK+ is running on the phone.

● Do not use this function in areaswhere phone call tones arerestricted.
● The tone sounds at a highvolume. Do not use this functionwhen listening to phone outputover earphones.
1. X If the watch is connected with aphone, hold down (B) for about 0.5seconds to terminate the connection.
2. X In the Timekeeping Mode, holddown the (D) button for about onesecond.This will display the watch screenshown below and cause the tone tosound on the phone.● It will take a few seconds before
the phone tone sounds.
3. X Press any button to stop the tone.● You can press any watch button to
stop the phone tone only duringthe first 30 seconds after it starts tosound.

Configuring Watch SettingsG-SHOCK+ can be used to easilyconfigure alarm, timer, and 12/24-hourtimekeeping settings.1. Y Tap the “G-SHOCK+” icon.
2. X Hold down the (B) button for about0.5 seconds.This causes the watch and phone toconnect with each other, and thewatch to enter the Control Mode.
3. Y Tap “Watch settings”.
4. Y Select the setting you want tochange and then perform theoperation shown on the phonescreen.
World Time City SettingWith World Time, you can select thedesired World Time City from onedisplayed in the G-SHOCK+ city list orworld map.1. Y Tap the “G-SHOCK+” icon.
2. X Hold down the (B) button for about0.5 seconds.This causes the watch and phone toconnect with each other, and thewatch to enter the Control Mode.
3. Y Tap “Watch settings”.
4. Y Tap “World time”.
5. Y Perform the operation shown onthe phone screen.
Note
● G-SHOCK+ World Time letsyou select from amongapproximately 300 cities as theWorld Time City. If the city youselect with G-SHOCK+ is notincluded in the 100 citiessupported by the watch, thatcity’s time zone will beregistered to [EXTRA] in thewatch’s city list.
Adjusting Hand AlignmentYou can use G-SHOCK+ to correct thewatch’s hand positions when they do notindicate the same time as the digitaldisplay.1. Y Tap the “G-SHOCK+” icon.
2. X Hold down the (B) button for about0.5 seconds.This causes the watch and phone toconnect with each other, and thewatch to enter the Control Mode.
3. Y Tap “Watch settings”.
4. Y Tap “Basic settings”.
5. Y Tap “Adjusting home positions”.
6. Y Perform the operation shown onthe phone screen.
ConnectionCancelling a Connection with aPhone

To terminate the Bluetooth connection,hold down (B) for about 0.5 seconds untilthe Bluetooth indicator disappears.
Connecting with a PhoneThis section explains how to establish aBluetooth connection between a phonethat is paired with the watch.● If the watch is not paired with the phone
you want to connect with, perform theprocedure under “C Pairing the watchwith a phone” to pair them.
1. Move the phone close to (within onemeter of) the watch.
2. X If the Bluetooth indicator is notdisplayed, hold down (B) for about0.5 seconds to connect.This will establish a Bluetoothconnection and cause the Bluetoothindicator to appear.● The watch will enter the Control

● If you have problemsestablishing a connection, itcould mean that G-SHOCK+ isnot running on the phone. Onthe phone’s home screen, tapthe “G-SHOCK+” icon. Then onthe watch, hold down the (B)button for about 0.5 seconds.

● The connection will beterminated if you do not performany operation on the watch orphone for a fixed amount of time(connection limit time).To specify the connection limittime, perform the followingoperation with G-SHOCK+:“Watch settings”n“Basicsettings”n“Connection time”.Next, specify a setting of 1 hour,1.5 hours, or 2 hours.
Link Loss AlertWhile there is a Bluetooth link betweenthe watch and a phone, the [LINKLOSS]warning will appear on the watch displayin the following cases: if you do notperform any phone operation, if thedistance between the watch and phonebecomes too great, if the phone is turnedoff, if the connection is lost due to radiointerference or some other cause. A lossof connection will cause the watch toreturn to the Timekeeping Mode.To re-connect, move the watch andphone close to each other and then holddown the watch’s (B) button for about 0.5seconds.
● If “Tone” is selected for the G-SHOCK+ “Link loss alert” setting, the watch willbeep when link loss occurs.l Configuring Watch Settings
Entering the Watch Airplane ModeUse the Airplane Mode to disableBluetooth radio wave emissions.Enter the Airplane Mode when in ahospital, in an aircraft, or anywhere elsewhere radio wave emissions arerestricted.

1. X If the watch is connected with aphone, hold down (B) for about 0.5seconds to terminate the connection.
2. X Hold down (C) for about fourseconds.This causes the watch to enter theAirplane Mode and displays theAirplane indicator.● Each time the (C) button is held
down for about four seconds, thewatch enters or exits the AirplaneMode.

Clearing Pairing InfoTo unpair the watch from a phone, deletethe pairing information from G-SHOCK+,the phone, and the watch.

1. X If the watch is connected with aphone, hold down (B) for about 0.5seconds to terminate the connection.
2. Y In the upper right corner of the G-SHOCK+ top screen, tap i todisplay the “Connection settings”screen.
3. Y On the “Previously registeredwatch” list, select the one whosepairing information you want to clear.
4. Y Tap “Delete pairing registration”.
5. Y Tap “Yes”.This clears the watch’s pairinginformation from G-SHOCK+.

● Clearing Pairing Information from aPhone
iPhone Users
1. Y On the Home Screen, tap“Settings” n “Bluetooth”.
2. Y Next to “CASIO GBA-400”, tap g.
3. Y Tap “Forget this Device”.This clears the watch’s pairinginformation from the phone.
Android Users
1. Y On the App screen tap: “Settings”n “Bluetooth”.
2. Y Tap j next to “CASIO GBA-400”.
3. Y Tap “Unpair”.This clears the watch’s pairinginformation from the phone.
4. Y Scroll the status bar downwardsand open the notification panel.
5. Y Tap e (Bluetooth) to disableBluetooth, and then re-enable it.

● Note that the actual operationyou need to perform dependson the type of phone you areusing. For details, see yourphone documentation.
● Clearing Pairing Information fromthe Watch
1. X Hold down the (C) button for abouttwo seconds.
2. X Press (C) five times to enter theSetup Mode.[SETUP] will appear on the displayfollowed by the watch device name.

Connecting with Another PhoneYou need to perform the operation belowwhenever you buy a different phone orwhen you want to establish a Bluetoothconnection with another phone.1. Clearing Pairing Info2. Pair the watch with the phone.
Connecting a Different Watch to aPhoneYou should perform the steps belowbefore pairing a different watch with thephone, such as after you buy a newwatch.
● Pairing the Watch with a Phone1. Y In the upper right corner of the G-
SHOCK+ top screen, tap i todisplay the “Connection settings”screen.
2. Y Tap “Connect new watch”.
3. Y Select the name of the watch youwant to connect to and then tap“Next”.
● From this point, follow theinstructions that appear on yourphone’s screen to complete thepairing operation.
● Connecting with a Watch that isAlready Paired
1. Y In the upper right corner of the G-SHOCK+ top screen, tap i todisplay the “Connection settings”screen.
2. Y From the “Previously registeredwatch” list, tap the name of the phoneyou want to connect with.
3. Y Tap “Connect to this ***”.● Follow the instructions that appear
on your phone’s screen tocomplete the connectionoperation.

● A phone can be connected withonly one watch at a time. Toconnect to another watch, youneed to terminate the currentconnection.
Watch SettingsWhile the watch is connected to a phone,it will automatically adjust its date andtime settings to those of the phone. Selecting a Time ZoneUse the procedure below to select thetime zone (offset from mean time) foryour Home City, where you will normallybe using the watch. If you are in an areathat uses summer time, you can alsoenable or disable summer time.
Important!
● The times shown in the WorldTime Mode will not be correct ifyou select the wrong time zone.
1. Hold down the (A) button for abouttwo seconds.[SET Hold] will appear, and then thetime zone setting will flash.

● For information about time zones,see the "City Name List".
Example:If you plan to use the watch in Tokyo,select [+ 09:00].
3. To change the summer time setting,press (C).
● If you don’t want to change thesummer time setting, press (A).
4. Rotate the rotary switch to display[ON] (summer time) or [OFF](standard time).
5. Press (A) to exit the setting screen.

● The DST indicator is on thedisplay while summer time isenabled.

two seconds.[SET Hold] will appear, and then thetime zone setting will flash.

● If the seconds count is between 30and 59 when you press (D), 1 willbe added to the minute count.

Switching between 12-hourand 24-hour Timekeeping
1. Hold down the (A) button for abouttwo seconds.[SET Hold] will appear, and then thetime zone setting will flash.

2. Press (C) twice and the currentsetting ([12H] or [24H]) will flash onthe display.

3. Rotate the rotary switch to display[12H] (12-hour timekeeping) or [24H](24-hour timekeeping).
4. Press (A) to exit the setting screen.

Summer TimeSummer time, which is also known asDaylight Saving Time (DST), advancesthe time setting one hour, 30 minutes, orsome other amount of time from standardtime (STD) during the summer months.Whether or not and how summer time isused depends on your country or localarea. Summer time is not used in somecountries and local areas.

Configuring Alarm Settings1. Rotate the rotary switch to scroll
through alarm numbers ([-1] to [-5], [:00]) until the one whose settings youwant to configure is displayed.

● [-1] to [-4]These are normal alarms.
● [-5]This is a snooze alarm.The watch performs an alertoperation when the alarm time isreached. After that, the alertoperation repeats up to seventimes at five-minute intervals.
● [:00]This is the hourly time signal.When enabled, the watchperforms an alert operation everyhour on the hour.
2. Use (D) to specify the alarm or hourlytime signal setting you want.
● [-1] to [-5][OFF]: Alarm is turned off (will notsound).[1TIME]: Alert is performed onlyonce at the alarm time.[DAILY]: Alert is performed everyday at the alarm time.
● [:00][OFF]: Hourly time signal disabled.[ON]: Indicates the hourly timesignal is enabled, and the watchwill perform an alert operationevery hour on the hour.
3. Hold down the (A) button for abouttwo seconds.[SET Hold] will appear and the hourdigits will flash.

Stopping an AlarmPressing any button while the beeper issounding stops it.

● In the case of the snooze alarmpressing a button stops thecurrent alert operation. Thealarm will repeat up to seventimes at five-minute intervals. Tostop an ongoing snooze alarmoperation, disable the alarm.
