The network is described as follows:
A interface: The MGW connects to the GSM BSS over E1 (SS7/TDM) and acts as the
SG to transfer BSSAP signaling.
MTUP/MISUP interface: The VMSC server transmits MTUP/MISUP signaling over
M3UA. The VMSC server connects to the MGW through the MTUP/MISUP interface.
After the transfer of the signaling over the SG built in the MGW, a connection to the
PSTN/VMSC/GMSC/TMSC is set up over E1/STM-1 (SS7/TDM).
Gs interface: It connects to the SGSN over E1 (SS7/TDM) or IP SIGTRAN.
C/D interface: It connects to the HLR over E1 (SS7/TDM) or IP SIGTRAN.
E interface: It connects to the VMSC and SMC over E1 (SS7/TDM) or IP SIGTRAN.
CAP interface: It connects to the SCP over E1 (SS7/TDM) or IP SIGTRAN.
Mc interface: It connects to the MGW over FE (H.248/SCTP/IP).
Nc interface: It connects to another VMSC server or GMSC server over E1 (SS7/TDM).
PRI interface: The MGW connects to the PBX over E1 and transfers signaling to the
GMSC server by using the IUA protocol.

6.1.2 Configuration Description of Delivery Accessories
A site survey is required to determine the types and quantities of the GTSOFTX3000 delivery
accessories. The data and tools must be configured according to the customer's needs.
Software and software package are configured based on the versions.
The physical terminal software of the GTSOFTX3000 can be downloaded from the support
website by the customer service engineers.
6.2 Configuration List and Description of Auxiliary Equipment
6.2.1 Configuration List of Auxiliary Equipment
The auxiliary equipment refers to the alarm box. If the office is using Huawei equipment and
is configured with the alarm box, and the interface is available for connecting to the
MSOFTX3000, the alarm box is not required. Otherwise, the alarm box is mandatory. The
auxiliary equipment does not require the commissioning and can be delivered directly.
Therefore, the auxiliary equipment adopts the POC model.
If the BAM is connected to the alarm box, then the alarm box is connected to the alarm
subsystem through the RS232 serial cable. The 220 V AC power supply is adopted. The
cables for connecting the alarm box are 04043090, 04043091, and 04060374, whose lengths
are determined on the basis of the site survey.
For details on the configuration of the alarm box, refer to the relevant documents on the alarm
box design and configuration.

cable is the DB50 connector; the connector at the other end and the length of the cable
need be determined on the basis of the site survey. The connector used at the other end
must be made on site. The principle for configuring the trunk cable is as follows:
configure one trunk cable for a pair of EPI boards and connect the cable to the active
EPI board. Quantity: Number of EPI boards with the corresponding impedance/2.
Note that the 75-ohm and 120-ohm cables must be calculated separately. The
connector of the E1 line on the DDF side is provided by the cable rack. The 120-ohm
trunk cable is delivered on the basis of the site survey. If there is no specific
requirement, 0.4mm-core cables are delivered by default. These trunk cables are
delivered to the markets outside china.
2. 04044335, 04044336, 04044337, 04060322, and 04060321 are trunk cables for
connecting to the BITS clock device. These cables are used to obtain the clock source
from the synchronization system. Quantity = Number of CKI boards x 2. The length
of the cable need be determined on the basis of the site survey.
3. Cables of 04070108, 04070009, 04070012, 04070013, or 04070015 or longer cables
are used to connect the WCKIc to the NTP network. Quantity = 2 PCS
4. 04060171 and 04040582 are 120-ohm BITS clock cables. 04060171 is mandatory for
connecting to the WCKI board; four PCS are required. 04040582 is used for
connecting to the BITS device; four PCS are required. For 04040582, an order is
required for customized length (120-ohm twisted pair cable).
5. 04041486, 04041487, 04041488, 04041489, and 04041490 are 120-ohm trunk cables
with the 0.5 mm core, which are used for the WEPI board.
The lengths of external cables need be determined on the basis of the site survey. If, according
to the site survey, the cable required is longer than the length specified in the list, select the
cable with the maximum length in the list, and record the actually required length of the cable.
The dispatching personnel will be responsible for arranging the trial production of the cable.

7.1.2 Materials to Be Used in the Expansion
Most of the materials listed in 3.3 will be used in the expansion. All the materials in the
configuration list in 3.3 are Optional
The materials to be used in the expansion include the cabinet, subrack, board, and cables, and
the configuration principles previously described apply.
7.1.3 Expansion Precautions
1. Do not neglect various cables that will be used in the expansion.
2. The lengths of cables are determined on the basis of the site survey.
3. It is common that the UMG8900 transmits signaling between the GTSOFTX3000 and
other offices. Therefore, the expansion may require more signaling links between the
GTSOFTX3000 and other offices, and the UMG8900 needs to be expanded
accordingly. For details, see the relevant description in the UMG8900 configuration
manual.
