ABSTRACT
• In present life we all peoplecan’t live without transportationservice for proper and perfectcommunication.
• We also know that vehicle(car,truck,etc..)play an importantrole in today’s transportationservice.
• The present vehicle(car,truck,etc..)alarm system are still of no match tothe well-equiped thieves.
• So,we are going to introduces anddescribes the project offering higherlevel of vehicle (car,truck,etc..)security system.
OBJECTIVE
• This project is capable of providingan effective two way communicationbetween the alarm system and thevehicle(car,truck,etc..) owner.
• Additionally the vehicle(car,truck,etc..)owner can remotely control many of thecar’s feature anytime and anywhere viacellphone using GSM technology.
• Based on GPS technology this systemhas also potential to provide realtimevehicle (car,truck,etc..) tracking ,which we can include as aenhancement of this project overconventional security system ofvehicle (car,truck,etc..).
FUNCTION OF OUR PROJECT ARE:
• Location Tracking
• Vehicle (car,truck,etc..) Turnoff
• Additional Features e.g
- Door Lock- Siren - Parking Light- Air Condition- Radio- Power window - Vehicle (car,truck,etc..) Starter etc…

THE MAJOR BUILDING BLOCK OFPROJECT
Microcontroller Regulated Power Supply GPS Receiver For Location Information GSM Modem For Remote Communication Keyboard For SIM Number Entry LCD Display For Number Display Relay Mechanism
Microcontroller
• The microcontroller is theheart of this device.
• A microcontroller is a small computer on asingle integrated circuit containing aprocessor core, data memory andprogrammable input/output peripherals.
• It is the interface between the GSM moduleand the GPS receiver.
• Microcontroller is programmed in sucha way that it stimulates the GSM modemin message forwarding when a requestis send by the user.
• Microcontrollers are much smaller andsimplified so that they can include allthe functions required on a single chip.
• Having the microcontroller is of greatuse, as it has low design cost and addintelligence to the system.
Regulated Power Supply
• Power supply is veryessential for operationof various buildingblocks.
• For the precise operation of µC and ModemsRegulated power supply is needed.
• Regulator ICs are used to have stable output from fluctuating bridge rectifier output.
GPS Receiver
• The Global PositioningSystem (GPS) is the onlyfully functional GlobalNavigation System.
• The GPS uses a constellation of Medium Earth Orbit satellites that transmit precise microwavesignals that enable GPS receivers to determinetheir location, speed, direction, and time.
• A GPS receiver receives thesignals from at least threesatellites to calculatedistance and uses atriangulation technique tocompute its two dimension(latitude and longitude) position.
• Therefore GPS is a key technology for givingdevice its position.
GSM Modem
• A GSM modem is aspecialized type ofmodem which accepts aSIM card, and operates
• GSM (Global System for Mobile) uses a processcalled circuit switching.
over a subscription to a mobile operator, just like a mobile phone.
• This method of communication allows apath to be established between twodevices.
• Once the two devices are connected, aconstant stream of digital data isrelayed.
• so by sending the command in the formof SMS we can control previouslymentioned features of vehicle remotely.
Keyboard
• Keyboard is requiredfor the entry of SIMnumber of GSM module.
• Since we require only number pad, so wecan use simple push-pull key by properlyprogramming its function as number.
LCD Display
• Some of the most common LCDs availableto use are 16x2 and 20x2 displays.
• A liquid crystal display (LCD) is a flatpanel visual display
that uses the light modulating properties of liquid crystals (LCs).
• This means 16 characters per line by 2 linesand 20 characters per line by 2 lines, respectively.
• It displays some of events take place inoperation of this project.
• Main function of LCD Display in this project to display the SIM number of GSM module.
Relay
• Relays are electricalswitches that open orclose another circuitunder certain conditions.
• Electrical relays control the flow of electricityto various components of larger circuits.
• Relays are generally used to protect circuit from damage due to high current.
FEATURES
• Remote Communication UsingGSM Modem
• Sends Location In The Form Of Latitude &Longitude
• Reliable For Remote Tracking
APPLICATIONS
• Vehicle tracking
• Child and Animal tracking
• Vehicle security application
• Ambulance tracking
