But it is not enough for us to be alone. We were formed to live a life together, helping one another to become all that God intends for us. At Cedar Ridge, one of the best ways we do life together is in Growth Groups. In Growth Groups, we can grow deeper in relationships with one another and mature our relationships with God. Not only do these groups provide a comfortable setting to get to know people better and study the principles of God, but they also provide a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Growth Groups are a gathering of 6-12 people who experience life together for a while as they learn about God and His will for our lives. We meet in different places and at different times. We participate in a study for 12 weeks at a time, and we hold three sessions each year. Each new session brings new groups, new possibilities, new relationships. The Bible is the best road map for life, and by digging deeper into the Bible, Growth Group studies help us together move closer to God through His word. 1. About Growth Groups at Cedar Ridge

Is there a cost to participate in groups?

We are a church that likes to party! One great way to live out the mission and love people is to throw a party in your neck of the woods.
This summer, we want you to invite your neighbors to join you for a BBQ, a bonfire, a potluck, or a drink. When you invite them in, the party will follow, and you will have a great chance to reconnect with your neighbors and tell them that Cedar Ridge is a church that likes to party!
Feeling uninspired? One of our favorite ways to party with neighbors is to provide a driveway and a grill. Each family brings their own meat and drinks and a side or dessert to share.

Have you been looking for a way to get connected further at Cedar Ridge but don’t know where to start? 4 x 4 Dinner Groups are dinner parties of four couples (or eight singles) rotating dinner hosts for 4 weeks. Each 4 x 4 has a total of eight spots. This is a great opportunity to get to know someone in the Cedar Ridge community in an intimate and relaxed way: over a meal at home. It's summertime and the livin' is easy, so why not your summer group, right? This one is open to all women (both campuses) and is REALLY simple! We’ll be meeting at CRCC Parkside (with a couple of road trips into Lee's Summit) around the fire pit for conversation and connection! It's honestly that simple! Mark your calendars for these Fridays: June 5 & 12, July 3, 17 & 31, and August 14, and keep your eyes on our Cedar Ridge Facebook page for reminders and info about location. The plan is to build relationships with one another while enjoying a relaxing summer evening! Bring a friend, a lounge chair, a l ight jacket, and something to quench your thirst! Using our love of sports to find Scriptural truths and applications
We'll start the studies with real-life sports stories to illustrate a point, using stats, etc. That will naturally segue into life-application questions.
For the summer we'll meet four times (twice in June and twice in July). We will have two studies, one trivia night and one speaker. The two lessons will be "Rookies" and “Overtime".

Throughout the ministry of Jesus, Jesus had countless conversations. He bumped into all different types of people and always had a perfect balance of grace and truth with them. This summer this group will dive into these encounters and see how we can learn from the life of Jesus.
