Analysis• From the survey result (1), many respondents

think that voice-mail can be applied to Wechat and QQ as well as Renren. Less respondents think it can be applied to Facebook, Whatsapp and Email. It is because people can record and send voice messages through the first three applications.

• From the survey result (2), we can see that the main reason why people prefer a voice message is that it can free hands from typing. However, re-spondents who know nothing about voice-mail pre-fer a voice message mainly because they can know the emotion of the speaker through voices. An-other reason is that voice can convey information more clearly.

• From the survey result (3), among respondents who prefer a voice message to a typing one, most of them choose “level 7”. That is to say, they think that voice-mail is comparatively convenient.
