Group insurAnCe plAn desiGned for CpA firms

In the event of disability, the insurer may recycle you to a different profession after only two years of benefit payments.

The CPA profession is protected. In the event of disability, CPA members are not required to practice another profession until their 65th birthday.

You must be completely disabled to receive your benefits.

In the event of partial disability, CPA members may receive them until their 65th birthday.

Since the plan is designed for regular employees, monthly benefits are determined according to a definition of income that includes only salary and regular bonuses.

Since the plan is designed for professionals, monthly benefits for CPA members are determined according to a definition of income that includes net income for the current year, revenue sharing, salary, etc.

Monthly benefits are determined according to income at the time of disability. Therefore, any carry over or revenue sharing may have significant consequences in the event of disability.

For CPA members, the monthly benefits are determined according to income at the time of subscription. Once income is determined, changes can be made with complete peace of mind. No surprise!

In the event of disability, benefits are reduced by those received from other sources (RRQ, SAAQ, etc.), if the total exceeds 85% of your monthly pay after taxes.

Disabled CPA members receive the full monthly benefit, even if the total income from all sources exceeds their usual income before disability.
