Neptune• It is the 4th largest planet.• It is also the farthest planet away

from the sun in our solar system (number 8).

• Neptune was named after the Roman god of the sea, who is commonly known as Poseidon.

• It is the 5th largest planet in our solar system.

• The Earth is the 3rd planet from the sun: if we were any farther, we would freeze, if we were any closer, we’d be burned.

VENUS• It is the 6th largest planet in our solar

system and is the 2nd planet from the sun.

• Venus is sometimes referred to as Earth’s sister planet because they are both similar in size, gravity, and is the closest planet to earth.

MARS• It is the 7th largest planet in our solar

system and is the 4th planet away from the sun.

• Mars is named after the Roman god of war and is called the “Red Planet” because of its reddish looking rocks.

• It is the smallest planet in our solar system and is the closest planet to the Sun.

• One day on Mercury takes 59 Earth days and one year on Mercury takes 88 Earth days.
