Recommendations

There should be a permanent body at Federal Level to coordinate activities pertaining to NFBE and Adult literacy. This body may be the NCHD but it should work in close collaboration with the MOE

Similarly there should be a permanent structure at the provincial level to coordinate activities for non-formal basic education (NFBE) and Adult Literacy Program

NGOs/CSOs working in the filed of NFBE and Adult Literacy Program should work in close collaboration with EDO Lit/Education in the districts. In other words EDO Lit/Education should have a complete knowledge and understanding regarding the centers and schools established in his/her District.

Recommendations

Body/Organization at the provincial level working in the filed of NFBE and Adult Literacy should deliver the following activities

Basic Literacy Post Literacy Income Generating Skills NFBE (Out of School Children)

In order to coordinate activities of stakeholders, a forum for EFA/The Literacy Forum (established by PACADE) should be established at all levels. Membership for this forum should be extended to NGOs, Govt bodies and Deeni Madaris etc

All political parities should include provision of facilities for Education in their manifesto

Public representatives should give top priorities to Literacy in their projects/Schemes
