Personal grooming is important for a positive self-image and every effort should be made to encourage and assist the resident to maintain a pleasing and attractive appearance.

•Hair

–Clean, neatly shaped, and arranged in an attractive feminine and professional style

–Conspicuous rubber bands, combs, and pins are not advisable

l Hair if longer than jawline should be tied into a bun.

Clip nails short, along their shape.A healthy body ensures healthy nails. Brittle or discoloured nails show up deficiencies or disease conditions.

Tip:The nutrition after consumed in your body goes to nail , hair and skin.

l Brush teeth twice a day and rinse well after every meal

l Remember to rinse your mouth after every meal.

l After eating pungent foods it is important you rinse your mouth and use a mouth freshener

•Makeup should be applied in good taste so that colors blend with natural skin tone and enhance natural features.

• Lipstick colors shall be conservative and complement the individual

• Long, false eyelashes shall not be worn when in uniform.

l Mild fragrance.l Women: stay away from extremely dark, bright reds and fluorescent colors.
