GREYHOUND RACING

START PRICE “SP” This happen when there are no prices available on

a particular race (the bookmakers have not created odds for the race).

Or if a customer does not want to take a price when betting he can request a starting price bet. With this, the customer does not know the price he/she will get. Instead they will be given the industry price, which is given a minute or 2 after the official result is known.

Customers can bet any race in advance by placing an SP bet. This is known locally as the dividend.

The race track will declare a dividend after the race is declared which is the same as local horse racing. The units are paid to 1.0

This will now be available in LVS

betting platform

PRICE / ODDS

The price (Odds) of the greyhound will normally not be available until between 3 minutes – 5 minutes before the race start time.

This is the multiplier to the stake amount

WIN BET Considered a straight up bet. A customer places single stake and if his/her selection wins so do they.. If bettor placed bet on trap#3 and trap#3 wins, the bettor wins.

Minimum bet Php50

EACH WAY BET “EW” This is different from Place Market. Each way bet has 2 bets placed at the

same time.

2 bets are: WIN bet and PLACE bet (Greyhound has to finish in the top 2 for a return).

If the dog finish 1st then the bettor get both the WIN and PLACE bet. On the other hand if the dog finish 2nd or place, the bettor gets the PLACE bet and lose the WIN bet.

Since this is 2 bets, minimum stake per bet is Php25. Thus, a total of Php50 for 2bets to meet our GH minimum stake of Php50

To calculate the odds of the greyhound for a PLACE return, it is always @ ¼ of the odds.

To calculate the PLACE PRICE always use this formula: Price – 1.0(given)= Greyhound Odds. Greyhound odds divided by 4 plus 1.0 = place price.

Ex. 5.0 is the win price: 5.0-1.0=4.0/4+1=2
