Bailey 706-621-9633 | [email protected] https://www.linkedin.com/in/gregory-bailey-090ab975 OBJECTIVE To utilize current academic training to obtain a career in Engineering EDUCATION Georgia Southern University Expected Graduation: December 2016 Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering GPA: 3.84 SCHOOL EXPERIENCE STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS BRIDGE DESIGN October 2014 – November 2014 ▪ Learned to analyzed statically determinate and indeterminate beams, trusses, and rigid frames ▪ Competed in a vinyl mini blind bridge contest to test our group's skills of beam design, truss strength and anal- ysis of double simple trusses ▪ Learned to work as a team through the problems that arise during the building Environment Engineering Research Project November 2014 ▪ Studied natural and engineered environmental processes and systems ▪ Able to identify, understand, analyze, and solve the most relevant environmental problems that affect human beings and the surrounding ecosystem ▪ Debated with other groups over selected environmental issues that are currently going on in society ▪ Finding viable, but theoretical, solutions to real world problems through research and analysis Highway Design Project November 2014 ▪ Worked with other students to make safe alternative intersections on campus, theoretically ▪ Used analytical skills to make the appropriate decision on highway designs ▪ Designed from beginning to end a hypothetical two lane highway with group members ▪ Used AutoCad drawings to obtain information for vertical and horizontal alignment calculations as well as for the Earthwork (Cut and Fill) WORK EXPERIENCE Southern Nuclear Company Waynesboro, Georgia Plant Vogtle 1&2 Engineering Programs Co-Op May 2016-July 2016 • Worked with cross functional teams to reduce corrective actions associated with boric acid • Created a central location via Microsoft Excel to contribute to the reduction of human performance error risks • Assisted engineer by providing an initial list for recommended work for the upcoming outage Southern Nuclear Company Waynesboro, Georgia Plant Vogtle 1&2 Engineering Programs- Components Co-Op August 2015-December 2015 ▪ Populated set point data sheets for Motor Operated Valve (MOV) testing for 1R19 outage ▪ Input data for in service testing on pumps and motors and evaluated trends of stroke times ▪ Performed error analysis and identified issues with Preventative Maintenance work orders for MOVs Southern Nuclear Company Waynesboro, Georgia Plant Vogtle 1&2 Maintenance Engineering Co-Op
