This year marks the 25 th anniversary of the 1993 Lucasville Uprising in Ohio, a riot sparked by overcrowded and neglectful state prison conditions. In the after- math of the deadly event, several prisoners, includ- ing Greg Curry, were charged with murders they did not commit and sentenced to life without parole, or in some cases, put on death row. As a consequence of the fierce state repression, Greg Curry and other Lucasville rebels have become remarkable organizers.
