Business houses, leading banks and
e-payment networks.
Also in September, Cwallet was chosen by
Qatar Central Bank to represent Qatar in the
International Banking Conference 2019
organized by Kuwait Central Bank. During the
conference, DIC’s startup Cwallet learned
about securely managing access to critical
enterprise information. The startup was able
to connect with a global network of
professionals in the fields of banking, fintech

As artificial intelligence becomes more prevalent in everyday life, the art industry is
becoming more in tune with the creative and market potential of AI. There are many uses for
AI in art, which include generating new works of art using AI algorithms and reconstructing
old art pieces.
Researchers Anthony Bourached from University College London, and George Cann from
Oxia Palus have recently reconstructed a lost work from Pablo Picasso's Blue Period, circa
1903. Because artists frequently paint over old pieces, the researchers combined the
techniques of neural style transfer, artificial intelligence and machine learning to uncover
the art hidden beneath Picasso's The Old Guitarist painting.
Researchers Bourached and Cann found a lost painting of a woman and they reconstructed
the painting using AI and machine learning to match Picasso's Blue Period paintings.
Researchers argue that the use of AI and machine learning in reconstructing art broadens the
creative insight and extends the landscape of inspirational ingenuity by human-AI
collaboration.
AI transforms all aspects of human lives. Researchers Bourached and Cann’s reconstruction
of Picasso's The Old Guitarist painting is another proof that AI has the potential to transform
the way art historians work and reconstruct art.
