Proprietary GreenRig Introduction
TeraTorq® Motors and Generators
Designed for use on oil rigs and other harsh environments – rugged, sealed, and highly shock tolerant
Optional hollow shaft facilitates compact coaxial deployment
Propriety design provides as much as 5X reductions in size and weight compared to other motors and generators
Liquid cooled
Scalable platform design with dozens of different motor and power sizes, up to 20,000 Hp, up to 214,400 ft-lbs
TeraTorq® motors have been deployed in ocean water applications for military use since 2003, and on drill rigs since 2004.
TeraTorq® motors have logged more than 4,000,000 hours of rugged field use.

TeraTorq® Liquid Cooled Inverter Modules (TIMs)
Power Conversion, Motor Drive and Control
TIM-270 modules are:
Small - 9” x 9” x 24” deep
Powerful - 200 KW, 600 VAC, 900 VDC
Flexible - AC/DC, DC/AC, and DC/DC functionality
Smart and aware – any spare can be plugged in to any slot by any person (without requiring an electrician)
Resilient – parallel, load balanced design
Modular – Up to 64 TIMs, able to process nearly 13MW, can be networked for a specific function
Communications -
CAN bus communication between TIM modules
RS485 network communication, control, data logging

Remote Monitoring and Control
Tools to automatically monitor and control routine operations Conventional manual controls plus computer setup and control
Automated feedback controls
Data logging within communication bandwidth limits
Remote monitoring via internet
Post processing for data analysis and trending

Control Examples
Drill String Oscillation – OPTIONAL Software For long reach horizontal drilling, top drive is controlled
to keep string in constant oscillatory motion to reduce friction and increase drill face pressure
Communicates by WITS to maintain orientation
Wireless Robotics Control on Rotating Head Generates control power from hydraulic flow so that
complex actuator and sensor systems can be implemented without multi-pass rotary seals
More sensors translates to improved operator safety
Non-contact Networked Switches for Control Panels Simplifies assembly and eliminates mechanical
breakage Provides better operator and monitoring feedback
Data Log Post Processing Analyze operating data to provide daily, weekly, and
monthly summaries and health assessment Provide real time reports of serial numbers, hardware
and software configuration, spare part sources and numbers, etc.
