This weeks Focus Rules are: ‘Listen to and follow instrucons and direcons’ and ‘Respect for yourself and others’ Behaviour Management We have set up a special behaviour chart in the boom class room. This chart is a visual aid to help reward posive behaviour in our school. The chart is a race track and children receive a sck on car each me they display good behaviour in our school. We will tally up the cars at the end of the term and a prize will be given to the student with the most cars. We also have developed a focus rule for each week. This rule is explicitly taught and displayed on the class room white boards. If a child is observed following this rule they are given a special star that goes in a box. These stars will also be tallied up and another prize given out at the end of each term. School Camp Please remember that school camp is the second day back aſter the school holidays. It is important that we have forms and money payed by the end of next week. Greenmount’s Big Day Out! This Thursday the 11th starng at 9am is our Big Day Out and Opons presentaon. A fun fill day is planned, which includes our Opons presentaons and our Choir performance There will be a BBQ for lunch and we are calling on helpers to assist with this please. Brodie Campbell Day This Friday is our annual school sports day ‘Brodie Campbell Day’. Please see the below table if you are unsure which sporng house your child is in. Children are to wear the colours of their sports house. Brodie colours are Red and Yellow and Campbell house colours are Blue and White. There is a tuckshop Meal deal, please see below. Tuckshop “This Friday there will be a special meal deal only for Brodie Sports Day. $5 meal deal Home bake morning tea Big Hearty Hot Dog with Cheese and Sauce Drink (Choice of Fruit Popper, Milk Popper or Flavoured Water) You will also be able to buy ice creams and drinks on the day so bring extra money for this. This will be available to children, parents and teachers on the day. Ag Fest Excursion
Last week we visited the Toowoomba AG Show with our students having a wonderful time learning about where our food comes from and how gardens work. We also visited the USQ display where the kids had a look at some of the new technologies coming out. Students also had the opportunity to try some chocolate coated insects. While we had a few brave students, it was the staff who were brave enough to try the delicacies. The tractor pull also proved to be a challenge for the students with the staff again coming out on top. It was a great day all round and we would love to thank all the staff from the AG Show who did a wonderful job looking after us for the day.
