•Citizen driven initiative led to the creation of the Farm, Forest and Open Space Task Force by County Commissioners in 2003

Purchase of Development Rights Program

Farm, Forest and Open Space Task Force developed an ordinance that would establish a PDR program for the county – Ordinance received first reading at the December 20, 2005 County Commissioners Meeting.

• Development rights are permanently removed from the property in the form of a deed restriction
