January 2011 will marks the 75th Anniversary of George W. Trendle’s creation of the masked superhero’s character! Britt Reid, aka, “The Green Hornet” began life January 31, 1936 on a WXYZ radio program and became an instant hero to millions. The popular masked crime fighter also went on to appear in two Universal Pictures’ movie serials (available now from VCI), a 1960’s network TV series and multiple comic books. And, we now have it on very good authority from some Hollywood insiders who have actually seen early screenings, that Sony’s new 3D theatrical spectacle should be a huge box-office hit, and a cinch to re-popularize the character to a whole new generation of fans. So the Green Hornet buzz is just going to get louder!
