William Henry "Bill" Gates III is an American businessmagnate, investor, philanthropist, and author.Gates is the former chief executive officer (CEO) and current chairman of Microsoft, the software company he founded with Paul Allen.He is consistently ranked among the worlds wealthiest people and was the wealthiest overall from 1995 to 2009, excluding 2008,when he was ranked third; in 2011 he was the wealthiest American and the second wealthiest person.During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of CEO and chiefsoftware architect, and remains the largest individual shareholder, with6.4 percent of the common stock. He has also authored or co-authoredseveral books.

9. Born in Mysore, Karnataka on 20 August 1946, Murthy graduated with adegree in electrical engineering from the National Institute ofEngineering, University of Mysore in 1967. He received his masters degreefrom IIT Kanpur in 1969. Murthys first job position was at IIM Ahmadabad, where he worked as the chief systems programmer. After IIM Ahmedabad, he started a company named Softronics in 1976.When that company failed, he joined Patni Computer Systems in Pune.After settling down in Pune, Murthy founded Infosys in 1981with an initialcapital injection of Rs 10,000, which was invested by his wife Sudha Murthy.At Infosys he articulated, designed and implemented the Global DeliveryModel which has become the foundation for the huge success in ITservices outsourcing from India.

10. He held the executive position of Chairman of the Board from 2002 to2006, when he became the "non-executive" Chairman of the Board andChief Mentor. In August 2011, he retired completely from the company and takingthe title Chairman Emeritus.
