Dear Friends of Roman Catholic High School,

Welcome to the 20th Annual Greater Philadelphia Area Leadership Award Dinner.

It is our distinct pleasure to honor Daniel K. Fitzpatrick, President and CEO of

Citizens Bank.

The Greater Philadelphia Area Leadership Award honors business and community

leaders who demonstrate a strong commitment to the Philadelphia community

through their distinguished service and steadfast philanthropy. These leaders

continually make the most of their personal achievements, influence, and success

to transform Philadelphia into a better place for all its citizens.

Thomas E. Cahill, Roman’s founder, would have been worthy of such an honor for

his vision in establishing the first free diocesan high school over a century ago at

Broad and Vine. His benevolence founded Roman which today draws students

from across the Delaware Valley and boasts a challenging academic curriculum, a

competitive sports program and engaging activities.

Daniel, congratulations on your success and with very grateful hearts we thank you

for your leadership, vision and commitment to Philadelphia, the local community,

and the Delaware Valley.

Sincerely,

Daniel M. DiLella ’69

Fostering Faith…Expanding Knowledge

Roman is a school with a diverse brotherhood – we are brothers for life. Our relationships are strengthened every day by the thirty activities that we are a part of and the sixteen PIAA teams we have the opportunity to join. One of our unique aspects is our Center City location at Broad and Vine. As students we have the ability to explore our surroundings and actually learn about Philadelphia through our experiences. As a school located in the heart of Center City, we also have connections everywhere. Internship

opportunities are frequently offered to Roman students by some of the largest and most successful companies. I can confidently say that Roman Catholic has turned me into the man I am today through its many opportunities and ideal learning environment. Thank you again for your continuing support of Roman Catholic. Through you, this school will always have a bright future in the years to come.
