Get ready to have some fun!!

Spring Confernce!

Today more than three million livable wage jobs are unfilled in the United States because students are not entering the fields or obtaining the skills, instruction and credentials required for 21st century jobs. In less than five years, 65% of all new jobs will require a postsecondary credential. Employers hire those who demonstrate the discipline and determination to finish what they start. College completion is a way to do that.

MAKE A PLEDGE

The Greater Northwest Region Spring Con-ference is heading our way! This year is sure to be jam-packed full of interactive fun, and valuable information to assist you in making your chapter the most effective that it can be. Please make sure you visit the GNRptk.org website to access the registra-tion form, information regarding lodging, and directions to the location. Get your chapter registered early!

March is C4 Month! Phi Theta Kappa is heading up the C4 student-led ini-tiative to raise awareness of the importance of col-lege completion. PTK has created a student pledge and the materials you may need to build student momentum on campus and help ensure they commit to complete their individual graduation agenda.

One of the goals for the GNR is to create a C4 sign-ing event in March 2015. It is the intent to get all chapters in the region to have an event. Free toolkits will be provided. Fill out the free toolkit form on the GNR website. There are links to posters, pledge

cards, and other resources. Go to http://gnrptk.org and

get your chapter involved today! Reach out to other surrounding chapters, consider a joint event or just be a support to them. Let’s make this the best C4 event yet!

Please let Michaelann Allen know the date of your

event! [email protected]

DEADLINE FOR JOAN FEDOR SCHOLARSHIP:

MARCH 1, 2015

This scholarship will be awarded at the 2015

Spring Conference. Please see the GNRPTK

website for the application and instructions to

submit.

It is time to register for the greatly anticipated Nerd Nation 2015! Last year gave us so many memories that, I think we all can agree, might be difficult to match. WELL— I think it is safe to say that the upcom-ing line up will definitely give 2014 a run for its money! Be prepared to be dazzled by the amazing voice and story of the incomparable, Grammy award winning, Mr. John Legend. As if that was not enough, Theoreti-cal Physicist and Author, Dr. Michio Kaku will lead the 3rd general session, followed by Author Malcolm Gladwell who will round out Nerd Nation 2015 leading the 4th general session.

Please visit the PTK.org website to register for Nerd Nation 2015. Make sure you register for both the conference AND the hotel early, as these always fill up very quickly.
