Therefore, the masjids have a prominent place in the religion of Muslims. For this reason, the Muslims are investing their money, efforts, time and souls to care of and glorify of these places in anywhere and at any time”

INTRODUCTION

The Great Masjid in Sana’a is the most famous historic masjid in

Yemen and Islamic countries. It's a destination of visitors from all over

the world. It takes this position because our Prophet Mohammed had

ordered to build it in this place especially. When he sent his messenger

Wabr Ibn Yahless Al-Anssari as ruler of Sana'a at sixth year in

migration. The place was placed in the Garden of Bathan, beside and

on the rubble of Ghamdan Palace. In addition, there are a miracle in its

construction that the accurate direction to Al-Kibal as Prophet

Mohammed describe from a far distance. Who's told him that?!.

In an otherwise, there are a public library which known as the biggest

library in whole Arabian world.

It’s long and interesting story that we will sail in it with our

imaginations and our souls.

- 2nd. Aiob Bin Yahia Al-Thakafi. (705 – 715 M)

-3rd. Omar Bin AbdulMajeed Al-Khatab.

- 4th. Caliph Al-Mahdi Al-Alabasi. (136H)

- 5th. Amir Mohammed Bin Yaafor Al-Himiari. (265H)

- 6th. The Queen Arwa Bint Ahmed Al-Sulaihi. (525H)

-7th. Ward Bin Sami. (603H)

- 8th. Sinan Basha the ruler Othmanina. (1012H)

HISTORY

• Rectangle 68 65.

• Size 4400 m2 as gross and 3960 m2 as net.

• 3960 prayers at the same time.

•Built by stones and plaster.

• 12 doors.

• 138 columns.

• The decorates on the roofs form wooden are comeback to the 3rd century.

• Have 2 Ma’athana, the base is 4.5M 5M.

• One Quba on peak of each Ma’athana like Elexandira Beacon.

• One Qubic building in the center of the courtyard.

• 12 semi-complete copy of the Koran.

• One of them for Ali Bin Abi Taleb himself as by his hand written.

• 3000 of manuscripts.

• Tunnels under the building.

• 2 toms under the eastern Ma’athana.
