    GREAT ENGINEERING PIONEERS

Good evening everybody. Today I am here on behalf of the highway team to present our theme regardingnaming of our conference halls and meetings rooms.

The title of our theme is Great Engineering Pioneers. As the title suggests, it is based on pioneers invarious engineering disciplines, who have excelled in different fields and enlightened the ordinary man. These great souls have carved out their own niche in the world of engineering with the courage to dreamfor stars and go for them. They continue to be the eternal source of inspiration that we can always look forward for guiding light at times when the horizon ahead of us is the darkest.

We are all part of corporate world and do play major role in shaping the world through our part inengineering and it is our responsibility to provide a better future for the society.

    RAMANUJAN HALL:

After one of India's Greatest Mathematical Geniuses , who made substantial contributions to theanalytical theory of numbers and algebraic geometry and infinite series, Mr. Srinivasa Ramanujan .Ramanujan's talent suggested a plethora of formulae that could then be investigated in depth later resulting in continuous research and many more new discoveries. Being a college drop or belonging to

poor family couldnt deter him from reaching remarkable milestones in his short span of life. Spanning amere 32 years.

    But why a mathematician?
