THE GREAT DEBATEStudents vs. Teachers
The Showdown!
Process
We will be doing two statements There should be no school bag Homework should be banned
As a group (class groups) we will create our own speech using the ‘school bag’ statement
Individually students will write their own ‘Homework’ speech.
The best speech from each class will participate in a debate against the teachers and the winning group will get no homework
There Should Be no School Bag
In groups, students are to brainstorm reasons for the affirmative (meaning that the above statement is true)
Then write a debating speech that convinces people.
Should be banned!
HOMEWORK!!
