someone else” (Exodus 4:13).– “according to the effective working by which

• Job’s “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”– Job 13:15– Attitude of complete/absolute trust.– Why such trust?

• Job 1:21; 14:14; 42:12

– Will we trust in God no matter what may happen to us in this life?• I Timothy 4:10

• Joshua’s “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

– Joshua 24:15 (people’s response – v. 21)

– In spite of what others may or may not do…be determined to serve God!

– Nobody can serve the Lord for you!

– Let us be determined to serve the Lord faithfully, along with our family!

Great Attitudes Needed Today

• Philip’s Running– Acts 8:30– Philip running after the man from Ethiopia

demonstrated his enthusiasm for teaching the gospel.

– How many of us would run to teach someone the Word of God?• Results of Philip’s Running? (Acts 8:38, 39)• Bottom Line: “Go!” (Mt. 28:19; Mk. 16:15)

Great Attitudes Needed Today

• Paul’s “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”– Philippians 4:13

– Context: Paul had learned contentment in whatever circumstance of life.

– “I can” attitude not “I can’t” mindset.• Example: Thomas Edison

– Lord is promising strength to enable us to overcome every situation.

Great Attitudes Needed Today

• Paul’s “Lord, what do You want me to do?”– Acts 9:6– When Paul realized he had been doing

wrong, he wanted the Lord to tell him what was right (Acts 9:6; 22:16).

– Non-Christians & Christians alike need to possess this same attitude.• If we asked, what would be the answer?
