    Glass reinforced epoxy pipes

    Glass reinforced epoxy pipes represent the ideal

    solution for the transportation of oil, water,chemicals, efuent and sewers, because theycombine the advantage of corrosion resistance,typical for plastics, with a mechanical strengthwhich can be compared with the steel ones.

    Technobell GREpipes and ttings can be used forboth aboveground and underground installation.

    GRE pipes cover diameters from 80 to 1000 mm,lengths up to 12 m and pressure up to 60 bars.

    The design temperature of GRE pipes can reach upto 110oC, higher temperatures up to 130-150oC canbe achieved using special epoxy system and properselection of the curing schedule.

    Technobell GRE pipes are compatible with steelpipes. All types of ttings are available such as

    elbows, tees, reducers, anges and others.

    Fittings

    Technobell know-how and equipment enables theproduction of a full range of ttings such as elbows,tees, reducers, end caps, anges and others.Mitered ttings are manufactured from pipe sections(after the produced pipe has been hydro-tested)laminated together using berglass reinforcements andepoxy resin. The thickness and width of the laminationare designed to equal or to exceed the pipe performance.GRE molded ttings are standard part of Technobellepoxy system. Depending on the type of joint and

    diameter, Technobell offers wide range of these ttings,which are designed and engineered according toTechnobell specications.

    Pipe wall description

    The pipe wall consists of three layers perfectlyadherent with one another, each having differentcharacteristics and properties in relation to theirfunction. These layers are:

    Liner

    The liner is made of epoxy resin and C-veil; it is indirect contact with the conveyed uid and providesmaximum resistance to chemical attack from the uiditself.

    Mechanical resistant layerThe mechanical resistant layer is made of berglassreinforcement, which is pre-impregnated with epoxyresin, winded at a pre-determinated angle. Thislayer provides both, internal and external pressureresistance to the pipe.

    External layer

    The external layer shall have no berglassreinforcement; it guarantees the completeimpregnation of the bers and provides good nishing.
