From these results we can determine the target audience will range from mostly teenagers to adults from 15-27+ years old.Although, we can argue that these results are unreliable seeing as no 10-14 or 21-26 year olds were asked but this is due to previous research and knowing that horror films are usually watched by teenagers no younger than 15.

From this we can see a significance difference between films especially with insidious, this shows us that our target audience prefer newer films rather than older ones, the second highest is Saw, this film is frequently shown on TV & although it could be classed as old it has multiple parts to it which keeps the film fresh in the audiences mind – this shows us that the audience prefer films that are well known & everyone is watching rather than old films which have been forgotten about, for example: The Shining. We can also see the type of horror films people prefer to watch are Graphical or Paranormal.

This simply shows us why audiences tend to watch horror films, half of the participants answered ‘For the thrill’ meaning that when thinking of an effective narrative the viewer must immediately begin to feel tension and suspense in order for them to be intrigued enough to continue to watch.

scene.Some aspects about the audience which we believe to be important are the ages, mostly ranging from 15-27+, therefore allowing us to determine an age

certificate, most probably being a ‘16’.
