PRAYER REqUEST LINESPrayer Requests: 672.1838

Prayer Appointments: 672.1848Congregational Care Assistant Tammy Burkhalter: 672.0327

“Hey y’all! My name is Kate Thompson and I’m a senior Visual Arts Major at Clemson University. I was in the First Pres Youth Group when I was in high school, and the profound significance that it had in my relationship with Jesus has made me want to serve students in the same way. Some time ago, God began to prepare my heart for this role, and I’ve felt so excited about all that He is going to do through the students and the staff at First Pres. I love all of the arts from painting and sculpture to theater and music. I love being outside in great weather, playing my guitar, hanging out with people, and laughing with friends!

Sometimes my lack of athletic ability fosters wonderful entertainment for others, and therefore I’m always down for a game of kickball in the park. I’m so excited to get started on an unforgettable summer!”

“So. I’m Afton. I will be a senior Marketing major at North Greenville University, where I also work as an Admissions Assistant. I love working with kids and feel strongly led to disciple high school girls. God has really orchestrated this summer internship, making it clear that this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. I love spending time outdoors, whether playing sports or just hanging out. I

love tennis, I’m trying to play golf, I like to rock climb, and I love anything on the water!”

“I’m Ted. I will be a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major at Clemson. I am excited to work with the First Pres youth this summer because I can remember how my mentors in middle school influenced and supported me, and I would like to do the same for our Junior High kids. I am an Eagle Scout and an avid backpacker. I also love to canoe, throw the frisbee, and lay in

my hammock. Actually, any sport or outdoor activity suits me fine!”
