Pastor Charles Byrd
June 2, 2018
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Jeremiah 32:27
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
10:50 AM Pastor Byrd’s sermon today will be about how God is
prepared for every situation in our lives – including our salvation!—
even when we’re running from His will.
12:30 PM All are welcome to join in our vegetarian fellowship
luncheon following the main service, hosted by Growing! & Going!
The blessings of the Sabbath draw to a close at 8:44 PM

well as a wonderful children’s program for kids ages 5 - 12. Our speaker this
year is Dr. Terry Johnsson – Chaplain at Portland Adventist Hospital.
Cell Phones
Please remember to silence your cell phones. The Holy Spirit should be the
only One calling during the worship service!
Email Groups
Our church maintains several email lists which you may find helpful. There
are email lists for church announcements, member prayer requests, the
newsletter and the bulletin. If you are a church member and would like to be
included in any of these lists, please contact the church.
Grants Pass SDA School Registration for 2018-2019 Our school is now accepting applications for next school year. Students who
will be in grades K-8 are welcome to make arrangements to tour the school
and/or come visit for a day. Call 541-479-2293 for more information. Help
us spread the word!
Box Tops & Bottles For Education Please remember to clip and save the Box Tops for Education from select
products you purchase and turn them in to the school. You can also donate
your empty bottles and cans that have OR redemption value. Help us earn
money for the school one Box Top and one bottle at a time!
Share Your Singing Talent
If you love to sing, if you love to praise the Lord with the gift of song, if you
love to be part of a fun and energized group of folks, the choir is the place
for you! Bring your sunny disposition, your voice and a willingness to be
part of a God-blessed music ministry. We have great plans in the works and
would love to have you be a part of it. Check the weekly calendar for our
next practice.
Maranatha Project at Milo Adventist Academy
Are you interested in a mission project in your home state that will have a
lasting impact on the lives of young people? Come enjoy the opportunity of
spending 2 weeks (June 17-July 1) on the beautiful campus of Milo
Adventist Academy working on projects such as painting, Camp Umpqua
improvements, and campus security enhancements to name a few. Please go
to https://maranatha.org/projects/tgid2748/ to register and download an info
pack. Please call Randy Thornton at 541-915-2950 for more information.
Prayer Chain Email Group
We are thrilled to have so many people requesting to be put on the Church’s
Prayer Chain email group. We know God answers prayer and the more
people praying, the more God works! To streamline the requests, we’re
asking that ALL prayer requests go through the church’s
email: [email protected] so we can consolidate the
requests. Please use Donna Griffith’s personal email for EMERGENCY
prayer requests only (ie: someone is enroute to the hospital, an accident just
happened, etc). Thank you!
Church Calendar Scheduling
To avoid scheduling conflicts, please contact the church office when
planning an event or when you need to use a room in the church, the
sanctuary, or the Better Living Center. All activities, and especially those
other-than-the-normally-scheduled usages, must be put on the church
calendar. Thank you!
“LIKE” us on Facebook!
We have an active church page (“Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist
Church”) that you can connect with yourself and also invite friends and
family to do as well! Just another way to keep informed and to share with
others in our community about our church!
Light Bearer’s Camp Meeting
This year’s theme for the Light Bearer’s Camp Meeting will be: The Minor
Prophets—Major Salvation Promises in the Minor Prophets.
They are called the Minor Prophets because of their size, not their spiritual
depth. Hidden in these little books are found sublime pictures of God’s
unrelenting love. That’s why we plan to plumb their depths to mine rich
nuggets of God’s golden love that promises to keep our love alive in the
coming crisis. We warmly invite you to join Light Bearers and our speakers,
Ty Gibson, James Rafferty, David Asscherick, Jeffrey Rosario, Fred
Bischoff, Nathan Renner and Risë Rafferty for a Spirit-led journey that
promises to build hope, faith and love at our annual convocation July 3-7 in
Jasper, Oregon. For more information, please go to www.lightbearers.org, or
call 541-988-3333.
