May 18, 2019, Four students from Diploma in Pharmacy course were selected on post of
Pharmacist in DMC, Ludhiana at annual package of Rs. 1.50 lac. These students will
immediately join their services at DMC after completion of their Diploma Course.

May 25, 2019, Students of B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy courses were successfully
placed in Pharma Multination Company Verb Biogenesis Pvt. Ltd., Amb, HP. 20
students participated in placement drive out of which 3 students got selected after two
rounds of interviews. Mr. Gursewak Singh (M.Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
got annual package of Rs. 1.90 lac and 2 students of B. Pharmacy Mr. Puneet and Mr.
Gurpreet Singh got annual package of Rs. 1.50 lac.

FAREWELL CEREMONY FOR FINAL YEAR STUDENTS
June 03, 2019, A farewell ceremony was organized for students of final years of B.
Pharmacy (2015-19) and B. Sc. (MLS) (2016-19) on their last day of college. The students
and faculty members rejoiced moments of previous years spent in the college and
students shared their feelings about the college. Advices from the students were taken
to make this place even better. Placement In-charge Mr. Satvir Singh shared the
information that most of the students are leaving this college with job already in their
hands. Director of College Dr. Shailesh Sharma and HODs inspired the students to do
best in future wish the students success in their life.

MARTYRDOM DAY OF SRI GURU ARJUN DEV JI OBSERVED
June 6, 2019, Martydom Day of Sri Guru Arjun Dev ji was remembered by organizing a
„Shabeel‟ (Serving of Sweet Water) at entry gate of College. All faculty and students of
ASBASJSM College of Pharmacy, Bela jointly prepared and served cold sweet water
and bread to all the passer by to mark the great sacrifice of 5th Guru of Sikhs.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY OBSERVED
June 21, 2019, International Yoga Day was celebrated by the faculty members and
students. Yog asanas were performed by the 55 participants and they were told about
the benefits of doing yoga on regular basis. Promoting the healthy living was the main
motive of the day.
Guest Lecture by Dr. Parikshit Bansal
July 09, 2019, Dr. Parikshit Bansal, Ex-faculty, NIPER, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar,
visited the college and delivered a guest lecture on Pharmaceutical Management.
Around fifty students of final years of B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy were present to
listen him along with the faculty members.
GUEST LECTURE BY PROF. SANDEEP KUMAR, HOD (Pharmaceutics)
July 12, 2019, Head of Department of Pharmaceutics, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, delivered a
guest lecture at ASBASJSM College, Bela on topic of „Self Development‟. More than 70
non-faculty members attended this lecture in which Dr. Kumar effectively
demonstrated how to make our self a good and successful human being.
SELECTION OF STUDENTS AT IMTECH, CHANDIGARH
July 13, 2019, Three students of M. Pharmacy (M. Pharmacology) Ms. Barkha, Ms.
Sakshi Chauhan and Mr. Sahil Kumar were selected in Institute of Microbial
Technology (IMTECH), Chadigarh. They will complete their M. Pharm research work
project over there. Director of institute Dr. Shailesh Sharma and HOD Mr. A.S.
Kushwah congratulated students and wished them successful future.
RELEASE OF TEXTBOOK AUTHORED BY DR. RAJIV GARG
July 16, 2019, „A textbook of Industrial Pharmacy-I‟
authored by Dr. Rajiv Garg, Associate Professor,
Department of Pharmaceutics was released. Dr. Garg told
that this book will be very beneficial for all
the students and is written in very
expressive and simple manner.

July 22, 2019, Water conservation is very essential to make life sustain on this planet and
to make student aware of this, a slogan writing and poster making competition with
theme of “Water Conservation” was held among students of various departments. The
winners will be announced on coming fresher‟s party. Around 200 students also took
pledge to stop water wastage and to plant tree to make environment greener. Along
with that a bore well was also installed to harvest rain water and to recharge
underground water level at college campus.
RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION BY BRAHMAKUMARI SISTERS
July 26, 2019, Rakhsha Bandhan is one of the famous festivals celebrated in India and
like previous years, Bhramakumari Sister from Ropar Centre visited the campus to
celebrate this festival with college staff and students. Sister Anju on this occasion
addressed the students and staff members and shared her views on how to keep mind
and soul in peace and how to overcome stress. Later BK sister tied thread of Raksha
Bandhan to 35 staff members and greeted them Happy Raksha Bandhan.
YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD TO DR. SHAILESH SHARMA
Director of ASBASJSM College of Pharmacy, Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Sharma was awarded
„Young Scientist Award-2019‟ by Integrate of Commerce and Industry at a national
conference “Leadership and Innovation Summit 2019” held at New Delhi. He was
selected for this on award on basis of his research work on „Chronobiological system for
Asthma‟. Managing Committee members, faculty members and students congratulated
Dr. Sharma for this achievement.
CELEBRATION OF TEEJ FESTIVAL
August 2, 2019, Teej festival was celebrated in by organizing various activities and
competitions. In best dress competition, first prize was won by Gurinder Kaur of B.
Pharmacy. 2nd and 3rd prize was won by Harsimranjit Kaur and Rashpreet Kaur of B.Sc.
(MLS) among 50 students. In folk song round, total 30 students participated and
Gursimranjeet Kaur of B.Pharmacy (1st Sem.) won first prize followed by Jagjodh Singh
and Kamalpreet Kaur of B. Pharmacy with 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In mehndi
competition, Gurinder Kaur of B. Pharmacy got 1st position, Naina of M. Pharmacy and
Rashpreet Kaur of B. Sc. (MLS) won second position and Deeksha and Amandeep of B.
Pharmacy won 3rd prize. In nail art competition, Manmeet Kaur of B. Pharmacy got 1st
position, Gurpreet Kaur of M. Pharmacy won 2nd and Gurpreet Kaur of B. Pharmacy
won 3rd positon. The whole function was co-ordinated by Ms. Anjali Garg, Ms.
Gurminder Kaur, Ms. Chamanpreet Kaur, Ms. Harpreet Kaur and Ms. Ritu Kainth.
Director of college, Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Sharma congratulated the winners and wished
them all Happy Teej.
NATIONAL DEWORMING DAY
August 8, 2019, National Deworming day was observed in institute. More than 80
students of age less than 19 years were registered and given deworming drug
Albendazole with association of Department of Health, Govt. of Punjab.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
August 15, 2019, India got independence on 15th August 1947 from Britain and hence 73
Anniversary was celebrated in college by organizing a joint function with ASBASJSM
College Bela and MSKM Sen. Sec. School, Bela. President of managing committee S.
Sangat Singh Longia hoisted Tricolor and paid homage to all martyrs who laid down
their lives to make India a free nation. Along with him, S. Gurmail Singh, Member
managing committee, Principles of three institutes, staff members and students
celebrated the day with joy and enthusiasm. Sweets were distributed at end of
celebrations.
CABINET MINISTER S. CHARANJIT SINGH CHANNI VISITS CAMPUS
August 17, 2019, S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Minister for technical education and
tourism, Government of Punjab, visited the campus. On this occasion he handed over
the keys of an ambulance to ferry the patients to nearby hospitals. College authorities
promised to provide a driver and bear maintenance charge for this ambulance. On this
occasion he also inaugurated the broucher for national seminar on „Recent
advancements in Experimental Techniques in Pre-clinical Research and Teaching‟ going
to be held on 21st September 2019. He also announced opening of a clinical laboratory at
ASBASJSM College of Pharmacy, Bela, were test for local residents will be done on
subsided rates.
SERVICE TO HUMAN IS SERVICE TO GOD
August 23, 2019, In last fortnight of month of August, whole Punjab was marred by the
flood and Ropar district was badly hit by these floods. Villages along with banks of
Sutlej River were worst affected. Aftereffects of flood made life of residents of these
villages difficult to stay on. In this time of difficulty, Faculty and students of ASBASJSM
College of Pharmacy and ASBASJSM College, Bela came ahead and took the
responsibility to clean the school of Phool village. More than 150 students and teachers
joined hands and restored the Govt. School of Phool village in 3 days. This effort was
highly appreciated by students and teachers of school and by the residents of village.
PHARMACY RECOGNIZE AWARD TO DIRECTOR
PROF. (DR.) SHAILESH SHARMA
August 25, 2019, Director of ASBASJSM College of Pharmacy, Bela was presented with Pharmacy Recognize Award 2019 by famous publisher Nirali Parkashan, Delhi for his publications and Books authored by him. This prize was given to him on a National level conference „Pharmaceutical Industry-Academia Meet 2019, held at New Delhi on August 25, 2019. Managing committee members, staff members and students congratulated Dr. Sharma for his achievement.
FIT INDIA MOVEMENT
August 30, 2019, FIT INDIA movement, launched by Sh. Narendra Modi, Prime
Minister of India, was also launched in institute. More than 125 students of college
gathered in seminar room and watched live telecast of launch of FIT INDIA movement
by PM. Students also took pledge of become fit, so that India can become fittest nation
in world.
VISIT BY SH. MANISH TIWARI, MEMBER PARLIAMENT,
SRI ANANDPUR SAHIB TO COLLEGE CAMPUS
August 30, 2019, Sh. Manish Tiwari, Member Parliament from Sri Anandpur Sahib,
visited the campus and addressed all the students. He inspired the students to make
full use of technology for better future. He also inaugurated Rain water harvesting unit
and academic session 2019.
