Mark Strauss is the visionary who drove the success of Interior Design Magazine and Media

for more than twenty years. As our world was “re-designed” top to bottom, ID became the

dominant voice and inspiration for professional interior design and architecture around the

globe. With intimate knowledge of how design impacts people and organizations, he has

the mission to firmly tie the power of great design to Evidence Based Human Well-Being.

In this regard he serves as Senior Strategic Advisor to IWBI/WELL Building, already in

twenty-eight countries and at the forefront of transforming real estate. Mark is a sought

out speaker within and outside the design and real estate communities.

Mark sits on the Board of CIDA, the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, and has also

served in advisory roles for USGBC and BIFMA, and is an honorary member of the IIDA, the

EXCURSIONSIf you would like to experience more of the island during your free day on Monday,

December 4th, you will have the chance to sign up for one of the excursions below during

check-in or at any time at the Hospitality desk. For your convenience, all costs associated

with your selected excursion can be applied directly to your hotel room bill.

Stingray City Start the tour with an hour long scenic cruise to Stingray City Sandbar while basking

under the Caribbean sun. Once you stop, explore the vibrant marine life and receive a

warm welcome from the charming stingrays. Guests interact with the stingrays in their

natural setting where these and other marine creatures are free to come and go as they

choose, in their natural habitat. Your stingray encounter will be followed by a snorkel at

the North Sound barrier reef where guests will experience the underwater beauty of the

clear, turquoise, Cayman waters. Once both water activities are completed, the sails will

be raised and the bar will open for the one hour cruise back to the dock. Approx. 3 hours.

Reef Discovery SnorkelExplore a beautiful coral reef ecosystem that a variety of fish call home. The role of the

reef as a living apartment building is obvious as we see fish occupying their individual

habitats. You never know what residents we might see, from the schools of blue tang, to a

wandering sea turtle or even a curious barracuda. Meet at the Heritage House where Jean-

Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment trained Naturalists will present a lively

and informative coral reef slideshow. Take a short drive from the resort for an awe-inspiring

Naturalist guided snorkel.

HelicopterTake the unique opportunity to depart from The Ritz-Carlton’s Helipad and view the

golf course and the tip of Rum Point as you head towards Stingray Sandbar where the

helicopter will circle giving you the opportunity to take photographs of the stingrays from

a spectacular new vantage point. Discover North Sound, the famous large horse shoe bay

with water depths ranging from two to fifteen feet and fly along the Barrier Reef and

across the island to Seven Mile Beach to see the USS Kittiwake in its entirety. Fly down the

length of the white sandy beach and crystal clear blue waters until you reach George Town

and then land back at the hotel. Approx. 3 hours.

Atlantis SubmarineGet excited to experience a world of colorful coral reefs and spectacular marine life. Take

the voyage of a lifetime on Cayman’s only real submarine. This unique adventure is the

Travel Insurance/Health Insurance

If you are interested in purchasing travel/health insurance, there are many companies that offer a variety of coverage options. Travel insurance and health insurance companies can be found in your local Yellow Pages or on the Internet. Travel/health insurance helps defray your out-of-pocket trip costs when unexpected events affect your travel plans outside of Canada. Participants who have earned trips are NOT eligible for trip cancellation or trip interruption insurance benefits—only for coverage of their out-of-pocket expenses. Depending on the policy and coverage you select, travel insurance can cover flight delays or cancellations, lost or delayed baggage, and medical emergencies while you are traveling.

If You Need To Cancel Your Trip

Should you find it necessary to cancel your trip, please notify Global as well as Global Grand Getaway Travel Headquarters immediately. (Contact information is on page 1 of this guide) It is your responsibility to inquire about the exact policy that pertains to canceling and reusing your domestic airline ticket (if applicable) for future travel.

I/we understand that Global or ESGI are not the suppliers of the travel program, optional tours or activities I/we have requested, and act solely as agent for the airlines, ground operators, hotels, transportation companies and other independent parties, beyond its direct control, to provide me/us with such services. I/we have been advised that the suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to me/us below are those who are actually responsible for providing the services I/we have purchased or selected to participate in.

Any claim or dispute concerning questions of fact or law arising out of or relating from the operation of this travel program, its performance or alleged breach, which is not disposed of by agreement of the parties, shall be settled by Arbitration in accordance with the current rules of the American Arbitration Association and judgment on the award rendered may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
