To provide all facilities to the

farmers who bring their agriculture produce in the Mandies and to ensure they get appropriate rate, weight and payment of the agriculture produce.

MARKET COMMITTEE

•Market Committees -market committee is a marketing board established by a state governments of India.

•Market Committees in Haryana were established by able efforts of Late Sir Chhotu Ram in 1941.

• Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board was constituted on Ist August, 1969 with its headquarter at Chandigarh, the capital of Haryana.

WHY SIR CHHOTU RAM DID EFFORT TO ESTASBLISH MARKET COMMITTEE?

•That time there was not any place to sale agricultural produce.

•To give special Financial Assistance is also provided to the victims who have lost life or got injured during agriculture operation. •License is also given who wish to do sale/ purchase of agriculture produce.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

• Creation of marketing infrastructure.  •Ensuring best-possible prices for their produce

•Regulation and administration of variousMarket Committees all across the state as per the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961. 

• Collection of Market Fee and other levies.

• Creation of additional facilities, along with expansion and maintenance works on behalf of various Market Committees.

•Facilitating the procurement activities of organization such as FCI, Warehousing Corporation, HAFED etc. at various markets / Mandis

What does HAFED mean?

Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED), is the largest Apex Cooperative Federation of the State of Haryana, India. Objectives of HAFED are:

• Supply of agricultural inputs such as fertilisers, insecticides, pesticides, certified seeds etc. •Make arrangement for marketing, processing of agricultural and allied products and Facilitate the working of affiliated Co-operative Societies.

COMMISSION AGENT•Commission agents--also known as commercial agents--work as middlemen between vendors and buyers.•C.A. Should be licensed under section of 10.• C.A. take 2.5% commission from farmer produce.•It is the responsibility of c.a. To sell the produce of farmer.•It is the responsibility of c.a. To give the payment to farmer with in 7 days.

FARMER ENTRY PROCEDURE

•Farmers do entry before enter in the Mandy.

•On gate one member of market committee write all information about farmer that is: • Brief introduction of farmer.

• What produce he bring, in what vehicle he bring his produce , to whom he sell, who is the commission agent of that farmer.

• Then he get two get pass one he give to the c.a. And one take for himself.

OPEN AUCTIONAn open auction is a process of buying and

selling goods or services by offering them up for bid, taking bids, and then selling the item to the highest bidder. •During auction all buyers of farmer produce standing around the heap of produce and then start auctioning.

•And highest bidder buy the produce if farmer agree. •Then all tha information like name buyer, price of produce written in a registor.
